"It's a decent place to live if you aren't looking for something long term. It has a nice pool and is clean for the most part. I lived there for almost 8 years and have been a dedicated tenant. It's a good place to live until you deal with the manager of the apartments. I had asked the manager to put in new carpet (since they are suppose to replace the carpet every 4 years due to wear and tear) after 7 years of living there. The manager specifically said he would replace it for months but nothing ever happened. I told him that the carpet was so old and dirty that it was making my baby sick and his response to me was "DONT BRING YOUR KIDS INTO THIS CONVERSATION!" He is very rude to you if he doesn't like you. He will only find tenant from India and if you don't look like you make a lot of money, chances are, he won't lease to you. I'm sure not everyone has a bad experience with him, and I'm sad that he and I didn't get along but he definitely doesn't treat everyone equally. If you are looking for an apartment to live in for more than a year, don't rent from Briarwood Garden Apartments, you will eventually run into a problem with the manager along the way. This place is ideal for someone looking for a short term lease. My family and I finally moved out of there and are MUCH happier In the place we are renting now because of the friendliness, professionalism, and non-biased demeanor of the management at our current apartments. The only reason I give 2 stars is because of its location and because I was once happy there until our last year there. Otherwise I would have given it no stars based on LUIS VALDEZ (manager)."
