"I have lived at this complex for over five years. The maintenance staff is very efficient, and this complex is less than 10 years old. Reasonably priced if you can qualify for BMR ( reduced housing cost based on income ). My biggest concern with The Paragon is the lighting on Beacon Avenue. It's minimal to none. The City of Fremont should address this issue, especially since the location is Downtown Fremont, and there tends to be a transient population near the complex. Occasionally, there would be security officers parked on the premises, but this complex loses a star in rating due to the safety concerns."
"This is the first time i am ever writing a review online. The website mentioned about specials for new applicants on selected apartments. So I called the number listed on the website to confirm if i will be eligible for specials as a new applicant and towards the end of the call i did point out the unit number and asked if this unit has the concession to which the agent confirmed yes. So i went ahead and put my application despite not touring the apartment. Called them again to confirm the application status and questions on concession, but now the leasing agent is denying the concession by saying this unit is not under specials and that I called a different team. This is totally disappointing. Maybe the property management should mention the unit that will be under specials explicitly on website rather than making the applicants wait and get disappointed later. But overall the apartment is well maintained. The apartment I am living right now is managed by Essex property management and was so satisfied with the service they provided for the last one year. But this made me forget all the good things so far. Extremely disappointed!!!!!!!!!"
"My car was damaged parking on California Street. The mirror was melted/destroyed. The building windows face the sun in the afternoon and if you park in many of the street spots there your car will get the magnified hot sun spots. You can put your hand in the spot and it burns. It's a convex reflection issue from the building windows on the upper floors. Even cold days the spots are hot. I notified management office a few times while I was living here so they are aware of the situation. At first they claimed vandalism and an unknown person was burning the cars with a torch or such. I showed them that's incorrect by walking them to the spots and feeling the heat. They verbally agreed to look into a fix. I waited for them to fix it (most likely window film would stop the sun ray reflection). Cars continued to be destroyed and management refuses to accept responsibility. They now claim they were never notified of the issue. Management is FULLY aware of the situation by email as off today so if your car is damaged they can't claim they had no idea and are liable for damage. This is negligence if it isn't fixed. Some tenant cars have severely damaged to the mirrors/roof pillars/back wings/rubber gaskets/plastic light covers. Some days you can walk along the street and see every other car has damage so I am sure dozens of current and past tenants learned the hard way. They just say "park at your own risk" and show you a signed lease agreement but this is due to their building design. They can't skirt responsibility if it's a known issue. What about people who don't live there and car gets damaged? They say use your car insurance and still refuse to fix the central cause of the issue. They refuse to give me the building insurance so I can file a claim. If your car is damaged file a claim with your insurance and get your car insurance to collect from the management."
"So far so good. Just moved in here and this is my first apartment in the US. Management is good and apartments are awesome. Gym is also well maintained."
