Willow Springs Apartments

"Management is terrible, especially Marlene, the property manager. It was the worst experience while I stayed at Willow Spring Apartment. She was extremely dishonest and changed her word a lot. I don’t think so that she deserved to be a manager. I had to face the rude behavior of manager. All good before you sign the lease but after that it would be too bad experiences to live this place. This apartment had a lot of problems. Old apartment, old facilities and an unprofessional manager…There were many issues such as no water supply, no hot water, drain clogged…and more. Whenever I had problems, Manager never tried to understand what really mattered or maybe pretending not to understand for her convenience. I felt really bad whenever I had to talk to her. As for the facilities, bathroom fan has severe noise and vibration. And the fan location is just below bed location. I requested to upgrade the fan several times but Marlene rejected saying that I am the only one complaining. She just said that you should wear ear plugs when sleeping. It’s ridiculous. After several months of trouble in sleeping, I ended up going to a Home Depot and tried to find quieter fan for my unit and downstair unit. The clerk said the fan got obsolete long time ago and there was no inventory. He was surprised knowing that this model was still being used. Marlene ignored what tenants asked, so I had to say again and again when I needed to request something. I tried to contact her supervisor or the owner but I couldn’t. There is no way to directly contact upper management, so she is the one who decides and controls everything at Willow Spring Apartment."

"I wonder why this apartment has low ratings compare to other greenery apartments nearby. Property manager Merlene is very rude and I had very bad customer service experience."

"No AC, carpet and paint is low quality, lots of bugs. People move here for the school district not for the apartment."

"Feels like living in the forest next to the ocean, inside a city. Apartment is clean, community and management are nice. I have a portable AC if it gets very hot, but only used it a few times this year. Did not experience issues mentioned by other reviewers, although move out rules exist. They are written, spoken and communicated well before signing the contract. New paint, new carpet is sub-optimal for short term rentals, for both parties. If you are considering, worth to take a look"

"Don't go for this apartment at all. 2-3 days before our move out the Property manager Merlin had inspected the house and told us that the apartment is very clean. She also told that only cleaning charges will be deducted as everything else was in very good state. But to our surprise they had sent us a bill of $841 which includes complete carpet replacement !!!!This is really unprofessional. So be very careful at the time of move out and take everything in writing from her. I want to give negative star but there is no option so I am giving one star."
