"I lived in central apartments for nine months and had a great experience. It is a great building for a great price in a prime location in San Francisco. Central Apartments is located in soma and is walking distance to chase center, Oracle park, and several other San Francisco staples. It also is super close to muni and Bart lines. Finally, the building manager, Kendrick, is super helpful and is always going the extra mile to help out the buildings’ tenants. I highly recommend central apartments for anyone looking for a well-priced place in SF."
"I have been living here for over 4 months and am very happy with the experience. Excellent maintenance staff, very responsive and friendly. The place is cheaper than a lot of other apartments in the area and utilities other than internet are included. When I moved in they put in a microwave in the apartment that someone had left on my request which was really nice. Also, had a new shower curtain; small things but they matter. And multiple entrances to the building, which is cool. And they have a six month lease, which is very convenient, easier when changing jobs."
"I had a short, but great stay at Central Apartments. If you are looking for a unit at a good price and in a good location you can't beat Central Apartments. My previous experience with rent-controlled units was that they were lazily maintained, close to crime and often have endless problems. Central Apartments set a whole new standard. Max the building manager is very responsive and happy to help with even odd requests. For example, I had the nice led lights the unit came with replaced with traditional bulbs so I could use my smart lights. In terms of service, it was better than even the luxury buildings in the city I've stayed in. What really sold me on Central Apartments initially was when being shown a unit I was warned during the showing that the stairs could be annoying. To demonstrate Ken (person giving the tour that day) stomped up the steps while I was in the unit. He was right the stairs were annoying and I went with a different unit. This level of honesty isn't something I've seen throughout the city and Central Apartments is consistently good about being straightforward and helpful. So in short if you live in SOMA and want a nice place to live that is cheap (compared to other sf units) than Central Apartments is hard to beat."
"My husband and I moved here in 2017. Off the bat I will say this: If you are looking for an apartment that's adequate, affordable, and close to public transportation in the heart of SOMA ( South of Market), you couldn't ask for a better apartment. If you need an attentive, professional, and compassionate Office/Lease Manager you couldn't ask for a better one than Maximilian. He took our circumstances and turned it into an opportunity to live in The City. Considering the real estate market in SF you'd be hard pressed to find a suitable living space that's RENT CONTROLLED and in a great area. Maintenance issues for us were nil. They even renovated our bathroom and were consistently making upgrades and repairs to this 100 year-old former hotel. I'd have to say a downside is when you're home during those hours. Chances are you're working and by the time you get home they're gone for the day. If you keep in mind that there are families throughout the building and you'll be good to go. No tenants bothered us, so no complaints there. People tend to keep to themselves. I highly recommend Central Apartments to those who are looking for that landing pad introduction to big city life. It's a rare gem indeed."
