"I have been using the Oaktops apartment storage for 4 years and I paid on time, most of the time paid 6 months in advance. The storage building had water damage and I was told to move out my belongings in 72 hours. I had to take of time from work, hired movers, rented a truck and find storage in two days. I lost money from work and spent money for movers and rental truck. Half of my stuff are damaged from mold and water. All family pictures are and important documents are damaged. They offered me nothing for the damages, offered me nothing for the expenses, no accommodation for the inconvenience. My family has no pictures, from childhood to adults, all pictures are gone. All the memories are gone! My Dad and two brothers are passed away, their pictures are damaged! Sad!"

"My husband and I lived at Oaktops for close to two years and have nothing but wonderful things to say about it. Jana, the property manager, is by far the most attentive, transparent, and caring property managers we have ever had. Manuel, the lead maintenance associate, is an extremely hard worker who is very thorough and timely when it comes to addressing any issues that arise. The safe and quiet atmosphere at Oaktops along with the incredible view of Marin County is truly unbeatable. Had we not moved due to a job relocation we most certainly would have stayed for much longer. To anyone looking for a place in the San Rafael area I highly recommend Oaktops as you will not be disappointed."

"I have lived here at Oaktops almost one year now and I cannot wait to move out!! Our apartment is below the garage and everytime a car passes through it is ridiculously loud! The washers and dryers do not clean clothes thoroughly and when I asked the on site manager, Kimberly, about this her response was to use hot water and she also added she's never had issues with them because she has her own washer and dryer in her apartment. Of course she does! There is also a nasty stench that comes out of the laundry room and not sure if it has anything to do with the rat problem in there!! The manager, Kimberly, leaves everyone alone as long as her rent check is collected each month but if there is a question with the lease do not think you will be able to get a hold of her to discuss it. She never returned one phone call. She left nasty notes on our door instead and the one time she decided to answer her phone she screamed and hung up on me. Oh! I almost forgot the outside traffic noise is so loud. The amount of rent paid here should get you at least double pane windows and door. The air ventilation is terrible, there is none! The condensation build up around the windows and door is impossible to keep from having mold form. My allergies have been worse then ever since moving in. All around I do not recommend living here especially for the outrageous rent that is charged. It is so bad!!!"
