Outpost Natural Foods - Wauwatosa

"I really liked this outpost and have been going to this location for years. The previous staff was friendly and I noticed new staff members the last few times I shopped here. The staff now were very unwelcoming and unprofessional. When I entered the store I grabbed a few items from produced and noticed a male following me, when I went into the baking aisle, the same man (an employee) followed me into the same aisle and started putting groceries on the shelf where I stood. I immediately felt uncomfortable and walk to the next aisle and a woman immediately followed CLOSELY behind me. If I turned I would've knocked her over. When I stopped to look at the chips she stopped about 2 feet from me. The person I was with asked me where to find a product the lady immediately told us she can show us where it was. After showing us the lady walked into the store's office. Realizing she was also an employee. When I checked out, the cashier told others in front of me about co-op and did not mention it to me. When I inquired she only told me how much I would have to pay. I came back about a few weeks later to get gnocchi but needed help locating it. I stood at customer service with two workers standing there. Neither one looked at me or spoke to me. I stood there for about 2 minutes before they abruptly walked away. When I went to get one of the two to ask what aisle the product was in he gave me a hard time. He asked to pronounce it (didn't know how), he told me he didn't know what it was even after I showed him a picture, he then asked me to tell him the ingredients of the product was. When he saw my frustration he smirked and said I will show you where it is. He walked me straight to the gnocchi. I'm hoping these incidents aren't racially motivated. But when during these experiences I have been very observant and have not seen individuals from other races experiencing similar issues from the same employees. Each experience I had were from a different employees. I will be finding a more safer location to shop."

"The best customer service the best staff very friendly employees the best organic gluten-free black bread I went shopping or your day and I thought I was going to have my money and your prices on your stuff for way too high had to put stuff back you don't really not competitive with the other health food stores your price is at least 15% more than the other stores"

"I LOVE Outpost and am SO happy they have four stores in the Milwaukee area. I would like them to try a bit harder, though. I've been to the Viroqua Food Co+op and Willy Street Co+op a few dozen times. At these cooperatives, I am more impressed by their customer service, product prices, atmosphere, bulk department, local product selection, and commitment to cooperative principles. Still, Outpost is a top place to shop and an absolute asset to those of us living in SE WI."

"Such a breath of fresh air! We were traveling and in desperate need of some fresh, organic food. What a pleasure to find this store. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. The store is big enough to have everything one needs, but small enough to feel inviting and convenient. Even the parking lot was awesome with wild flowers and a picnic area!"
