"*Never enough help! *For repeat refill prescriptions I shouldn't have to wait for the pharmacist to hand me my drugs... just increases the wait time unnecessarily. Please improve the service or I have to go to Rite Aid or Ralph's pharmacy. Thank you!"
"Pharmacists here are slower than slow and they tell you 'they are working on transferring your prescription' but when I called the other pharmacy, they say no one from Walmart has called them! What a run-around! And customer service here is not the best either; subpar employees but it is Walmart after all. I wouldn't even think of dealing with them if I could find my generic brand that I need for the same price elsewhere."
"Mostly bad experiences with Walmart in Oceanside off College Blvd. They seem to carry the meds I take which is a problem with many pharmacies, but they employ a very poor pharmacist. She is of Asian background, but I don't have her name. I suppose I can find out who it is, but the problem is lack of good business management. This pharmacist must change or be fired. We as customers can't afford to pay money drugs while getting jerked around by people who don't do their jobs right, and don't seem to care, or realize how important it is to not make errors when it comes to other people's health. I bet if the prescription was for them, they would take care of any issues in a timely and effective manner. Sometimes I wish I were the CEO of some of these businesses. Not only would I maximize revenue, I would maximize customer service. If an employee can't handle their work in this fashion, it's high time for them to look for a new job. Period, end of story."
"I tried to pick up a prescription about 15 minutes before closing. I needed it that night. The pharmacy tech said my insurance wouldn't cover the $270 cost because they only covered an alternative medicine. My doc offered to call in the alternate prescription, but the pharmacy said it was too late (still 10 minutes to close). The next morning I called my insurance to find out why they wouldn't cover the original medicine. They informed me that they did cover it with a $10 copayment and the claim was in the system just waiting to be completed by Walmart. The only thing I can figure is the Walmart pharmacy employees lied to me because they were in a hurry to leave."
"I understand the Medical industry better than most. Dad was a corpsman, Mom is a nurse, sister is a Doctor and I myself was a street pharmacologist…. As funny as I try to be the medical industry is no joke and not to be taken lightly, but the human aspect of things is not to be forgotten. The care of the patient is the only real goal, right? NOT HERE. Sorry. You can’t sight me for this 1 star guys, because of the thousands of reviews my 1 star % is still way below average. Personally I prefer CVS, there are more of them, they screw up less and I don’t have to step foot in Walmart. Picking up a prescription for my sister (on her wedding day no less) and many hours before the ceremony my progress was stopped because their voicemail system has poor sound quality, and then I was told it was not called in, then it wasn’t pushed from the pharmicists system to the tech’s, but after 2+ hours of rigmarole and passing the buck I was able to isolate the issue down to the Pharmacist on duty both being obtuse to the process and uncaring to the individuals she serves. Cipro people, a pretty basic antibiotic was called in, ignored and not until the human side of things was implored by multiple employees to the pharmacist did she even lift a finger to correct her error. The waiting area has 2 heavily dented benches????? Yeah, but it’s Walmart so it’s par for the course. You’ll find a half dozen employees at any given time. (except for the 1 hour lunch from 1:15-2:15 daily. The counter is wide enough for privacy between the 3 pick up stations and intimate enough for the 2 drop off stations. All the staff I dealt with showed helpfulness and empathy to the situation, as well as frustration to being handcuffed by the systems. Eventually apologizing for my wait I was severely disappointed in the level of care, process and service given at this Walmart Pharmacy. Prices are good though and if you’ve got hours to kill and your already at Walmart, it might be convenient wasting half a day or more. I actually thought there would be more security measures as it seems pretty relaxed. Camera aren’t going to stop anyone and are easily bypassed. If you need your prescription filled and it’s life or death, come here for Suicide by Incompetence."
