"UPDATE: I got a very nice phone call from the owner apologizing and explaining some extenuating circumstances. I wouldn't hesitate now to give them another visit. It is a lovely place and a great location to town and the theatres. I really appreciate him reaching out. I think the problems I experienced are not the norm. I am changing my review to 4 stars because of the owners response. It is appreciated. I am sad to have to give 3 stars to this seemingly well liked place. For a fairly expensive room, it missed the mark on a number of issues. When we arrived and were checking out our rooms, (we had 2 booked), neither had coffee or ice in the rooms. My friend was able to find ice cube trays and some coffee pods in another room. The rooms are cute and the grounds are very pretty. Although they are looking a little bit worn. Yes, I know they are old buildings, but still. The sheets and bedding are not high end, but ok. For the price I expected better quality. On to the first morning, all of my provided half and half was curdled and ruined the coffee pods we had scrounged up, so walked to town for coffee. This is a nice location easy walk to town and the plays. My toilet ran constantly unless I juggled the handle a few times. But the icing on the cake was having the bathroom doorknob fall off and I was locked in the bathroom. Luckily with some pounding and yelling my friends who were next door came to my rescue. I don't really know what I would have done if they weren't there. There were no other guests and no on-site employees. The business is for sale and maybe that is why the attention to detail is missing. Forgot to take the bed photo until checking out. It was made when we arrived."
