"Everything about this place is five star. I came to Oregon to attend the United Bicycle Institute for 30-days. Being unfamiliar with Ashland, I contacted Katy to check on the convenience of this location to the school. It was a 20 minute walk and a five minute bicycle ride. Extremely convenient to restaurants, grocery, laundry, and entertainment. Everything was within walking distance, which made it very convenient for me. Katy was a terrific host. I stayed in the billiard room in the main house. It had all the conveniences of HOME to include a kitchenette, a walk-in shower, refrigerator, microwave, garbage, disposal, cable TV, and queen size bed. The room was larger than a standard hotel room, and it was far more quiet than a standard hotel room. While it was attached to the house, I often wondered if Katy and her family were at home. I had to do a lot of studying, so a quiet environment was extremely important. The Carter House delivered in every way. If you’re a student at UBI, or visiting parents of local college students, looking for a nice place to stay to enjoy the countryside, and the wineries, look no further."
