"What an awesome experience! We were a little worried at the beginning because things didn’t fall into place right away (mostly because of the crowds due to it being the Saturday night before Halloween). But patience paid off in droves. The places we visited had so much history behind them and Lenore was very well informed on the history of each location. Her storytelling kept us engaged and had us wanting to know more. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening! Truthfully.... we got more than we ever expected out of the tour... A highly recommended adventure!!!"

"I gave this 1 star because I couldn't give it a half a star. This was the WORST guided tour I have ever been on! The guides were costumed and so concerned about their dramatic pauses and whispering to sound spooky that you couldn't understand a thing they were saying! They booked so many people on the tour that the Whaley house became a sauna!!! Unbearable! We were handed off to a different tour guide inside the house and he left so many things we were told to expect and look at out. This same guide continued on with us to the Old Adobe Chapel where he proceeded to butcher all references to the Catholic terminology. The guides were so concerned with trying to be a "character", that they failed to deliver any interesting historical ghost stories. It reminded me of poorly done youth theater. If you are going to "be a character" then STAY in character (but speak loudly enough for the tour to hear you! DO NOT go on this tour if you are expecting anything but a poorly acted out reading of an Edgar Allen Poe poem."

"Choose another company instead! There are plenty MUCH better than this one! WORST experience and almost ruined our entire trip out there. Showed up at the time printed on the ticket, and was told that they weren't doing that tour tonight. Asked why the ticket was sold, and the tour guide literally started getting in my face and saying that I had booked an earlier tour, even though the time printed on the ticket was exactly the time I was there. I tried to calmly explain that I didn't understand what the issue was with this. Tour guide started yelling at me in public, in the process implying that he wanted to fight me! I'm standing there with my 8-months pregnant wife being absolutely berated like I never have in my life before. I was beyond disgusted, and we left. DO NOT book through this company. The worst display I've seen in my life."

"So far I have done both the Gaslamp tour and the Old Town walking ghost tour. I really enjoyed both. I was hoping to experience something on the Gaslamp tour and didn't, but my husband and I both experienced some activity on the Old Town tour when we went on Halloween night! I can't remember the names of the hosts, but they were both wonderful guides. My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves. I love telling people about it and I'm going on the Old Town tour with a friend again this weekend!"
