"I wish there were a way to view providers before signing up for insurance. I don’t know what I was thinking switching from PPO into Kaiser during enrollment period but it was a huge mistake. TO location has 10 PCPs that accept new patients. Out of these 10, 8 are non-pediatricians, out of these 8, 3 have MD degrees. 5 are DOs. Just three MDs accepting new patients covering the area from agoura hills to Camarillo (!). Out of the 3 MD NONE had graduated from a US-based medical school. 2 are graduates of universities in the Caribbeans and one is a graduate from a medical school in India. With such number of doctors and their backgrounds claims about world-class care are absolutely laughable. The facility does not have a single Gyn. Considering that with PPO I had an option of selecting Dr’s within less than 10 miles from my home and also choosing gender, number of years of experience and school graduated from, I’m literally shocked. Thrive? Anyone but Kaiser patients. Maybe for someone unemployed with plenty of time on hand and who is still healthy enough to keep driving between Simi, TO and Woodland Hills offices and doesn’t mind been seen by a different dr each time Kaiser is an option but why anyone who values own time and health would choose this insurance is beyond me."

"Dr. Henry has been my primary for a few years and she has always been very kind and compassionate. She is also very attentive and explains things very well. My husband recently saw Dr. Ardalan & had a very positive experience. He was very kind and helped relieve a lot of my husband’s healthcare anxiety after not seeing a doctor for over 5 years. We are very grateful to have wonderful physicians. And I’m very grateful that my husband has finally found a doctor that is as compassionate as Dr. Ardalan."

Whenever I see a physician (usually my assigned) the conversation is always one sided ...me explaining my concerns, her just staring back at me while masked, expressionless, then asking about whether I want a flu shot or reminding me that I need a colonoscopy, but never addressing my chief complaint. "I mostly go to the Kaiser pharmacy in Camarillo but sometimes it’s more convenient going to this one, and it’s not the best. There is always so many people and such a long line and I never have enough time to wait. The pharmacists here are Ok, not nearly as nice and friendly as the Camarillo location. Overall this place is Sub-par and I don’t think I will go again even if it’s the most convenient."

"I'm very impressed with the great medical care I've received with Kaiser. I was a Blue Cross/Anthem member for 45+ yrs. When I turned 65 I took a chance on Kaiser meeting my needs. I needn't have worried, their senior citizen health care is superior. Every doctor has instant access to all your medical records, which is extremely important. Before I had to worry that certain medications might have an adverse effect when taken with certain other medications. Even though you tell all your doctors what you are taking that didn't mean you were not going to have a problem. Even the pharmacy you always go to might not catch the serious problem. At Kaiser all doctors and pharmacist have access to your complete medical history on their internal computer system. I've been with Kaiser almost 7 yrs. now and I'm so glad I made the best choice for my medical care. Every year Kaiser improves the ability to access your medical needs. I did not want to go to an HMO like my mother went to. It wasn't even a consideration. She went with Secure _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ , I'm sorry to say they were horrible. They had my mother jumping through hoops to see a specialist. And when she got cancer they changed her co-pay on her chemotherapy after her first session. Each time she had chemo the cost after the first one went up to around $200.00. I made the smartest move for my health care KAISER. ❤"
