"The other negative reviews are accurate. I was delayed in getting to my appt. I called. They said if I arrived by 2:20, no problem. I told them I would be there on time unless I had to wait for a handicapped spot. She said, let's hope you don't have to. I arrived to find all the handicapped parking filled. I called the office again and told them I was waiting for a man to pull out of a handicapped spot. They said that's fine. It's now 2:20. I parked and called them again. They said, you're fine come on up. I told her I don't want to walk all the way to the office only to have them turn me away. She said I was fine and to come up. When I got there at 2:25, she said, "I know I told you to come up but, unfortunately..." I told them I won't be back. This may be a blessing in disguise. I don't want to be at the mercy of doctors who care more about money than they do their patients. This married physician couple is trying to cram as many patients into a day as possible to make as much money as possible in the shortest time possible. My doctors at the Mayo Clinic would look down on these two. I plan to tell them all about my experience with these rude, anti-hipocratic oath so-called doctors. I will file a formal complaint with the American Medical Association. If you want quality care with physicians and surgeons who genuinely care, go to UCLA or the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix AZ. Mayo's charge in life is, "The patient comes first.""
"Dr Perez exams and testing most thorough I’ve ever seen. She was able to diagnose my condition after 15 years of me seeing other “specialist”."
"Horrendous customer service and patient experience. Avoid this office at all costs. I'd give 0 stars if possible. After scheduling my appt weeks ago, I checked in online 2 days before, completed the entire patient intake process with questionnaires and forms, and was parking 5 minutes before my appt time when I received a call from the front desk that my appt would be cancelled by the doctor because I was supposed to be there 15 minutes before to check-in and take vitals. No one ever told me this. They called 5 mins before to cancel my appt and tell me this policy AFTER it was too late. No emails. No texts. No office policy on confirmations to show up "on time" aka "15 minutes early". Nothing. So despite completing everything online and being on-time for my appt, I was turned away. This is utterly ridiculous. I work in healthcare services and patient journey and experience should be paramount. For a provider to turn away patients when they aren't 15 minutes EARLY for an appt time is ludicrous. People should be expected to be on time, 100%, but on time doesn't mean 15 minutes early. If that's the case, then schedule the appt 15 minutes earlier on your internal calendar and build that "check-in" time into your appt length so that your practice can operate more efficiently without the customer experience headache of expecting and assuming patients will show up EARLY. The office could easily accomplish this with their PMS (practice management software) and customize their scheduling tool so that time is built in and custom confirmations are sent to patients. Clearly, they don't know how to utilize the software in an effective manner. Further, and probably most notable, doctors practices need to prioritize patient acquisition as many have high attrition rates when it comes to patient retention. Offices should be promoting a positive consumer to patient experience for new patients to make sure they foster good, long term relationships with their patients. This "policy" and action taken by Dr Salehy and his office is the antithesis of how a practice should operate. What makes this situation ever more ridiculous is that the woman calling me said that the patient scheduled after me was already there way early; to which I responded “great. Let them go during my time so they don’t have to wait and then I’ll go right after them in their appt time”. Logical enough solution, no? Well, she replied : “no. The doctor said to cancel your appt.” What in the world kind of response and problem solving is this? When offered a reasonable “solution” to what should not even have been a problem in the first place, again I was denied and cancelled on. Outrageous is an understatement. Life is busy. People are busy. Especially during the work week. To cancel appts for patients, especially new ones, while they are either at the practice or on their way and on time for the appt is a terrible business practice and policy and leaves patients with a terrible CX (consumer experience). There are plenty of doctors in the network and I will absolutely NOT be rescheduling with this clown-show-operation. Avoid avoid avoid"
"Dr. Perez is very thorough. Best Dr. I've ever had. Unfortunately, the office staff could be better. They don't have the best customer service skills."
"My PMD i had for 30 years retired and I have been a practicing RN for over 30 years both in Critical Care setting to Visiting Nursing and Nurse Educator. I had been searching for a new PMD and asked area MDs and RNs in the Thousand Oaks area for referrals and could not find a new PMD. Until I had some pre op bloodwork drawn at Urgent care for a Procedure I needed done and I was found to have very elevated WBC and needed to been screened by a Hematologist/ Oncologist at City Hope Clinic in T.O, Dr Bahadini who also is a 5 star, amazingly caring and thorough MD.She referred me Dr Virginia Perez in Perez Salehy Internal Medicine. from the minute I met Dr Perez I knew she was exceptional. i had been through a lot and fearful I may have Cancer and what a great coincidence that not only is she an Internist…. She also is a Hematologist so she had expertise in this area as well. I have now been to her office a total of 3 times and she and her staff are wonderful. She is very prompt, does a lot of research on your case before she walks in to see you so she is prepared and efficient. Very SMART and open to listening as well as giving great detailed information. I cant say enough about her and frankly it takes a lot to impress me. Just Excellent !"
