Walmart Pharmacy 2225 Plaza Parkway, Modesto, CA 95350

"If I could give 0 stars I would. The heavy set younger guy that works in the back at the pharmacy is so doggone rude. He should be fired. I have a doctor from hell that I am changing from. Now, yesterday the 23 of July I- was there 2 1/2 hours (!) because the doctor did not send the right code for my diabetic test strips. It took that long with them going back and forth to get that done (after I was told it was ready). I was FINALLY given my meds and so I went home sicker than heck. You take Tresiba at bedtime. I did test and my glucose was 445! At bedtime I started to inject the Tresiba. Nothing happened. The needle tips were missing ! I called the pharmacy. I got a VERY NASTY person on the other end. "the doctor didn't include the order for the syringe tips." I told her...you received an order for Tresiba. You know it requires a syringe tip to inject the medication. WHY did you not make sure the order was complete? I should not have to call you back at night asking you why it wasn't done." The remark was, you can always come and buy them. I explained I am in a wheelchair and have to rely on a bus. I could not come out at night and did not have the money to buy them. I basically got an "oh well". Today 7/24/18.- I contact my insurance company. They contact the doctor. The rude unprofessional people from the doctor's called me. It took three hours from when the insurance called them for them to call me. Three hours. They said they would fax a request to the pharmacy. I also called the pharmacy. I was told to check back and see if they sent it. At 5:00 PM..I called the pharmacy back. They had barely received the order for the syringe tips. They had none of those in stock..back ordered they said. My sugar is through the roof. If I so much as have a glass of milk, it gets even higher. I have a killer migraine cause I haven't been able to eat fearing it will raise the sugar even more. Things are so blurry I can't hardly see. I extremely nauseous. I am having trouble breathing. I have many health problems, but this was all brought on by the diabetes and not having meds for it. After five you cannot reach the doctor. The doctor's office not doing their job. The pharmacy not doing their job. The patient risking diabetic coma or death. Nice. Will be changing pharmacies also."

"After having a significant Problem of Discrimination and and outright misconduct by CVS, I moved my prescriptions to Walmart. CVS has not been helpful, and actually maliciously interfered with the transfer process. Walmart went way beyond the "Extra Mile" and has been doing everything to get my prescriptions handled. Additionally, the lines are never very long. CVS the wait can be 30 minutes or more. There is no comparison. I will not be setting foot into CVS again. If they go out of business, I will CELEBRATE."

"I don't always agree with Walmart policies, yet two of their pharmacies, one on the north side of Laredo, TX, and one on Plaza Park way in Modesto, have been very helpful in the past. While finishing out a ph.d. degree in finance,(last or next to last semester) we are very low on money as a family. In the Modesto Store on Plaza Park Way, There were several staff members who went beyond the distance, by far, to make sure that the insurance, covered my prescription(Medicare Extra Help). It must have taken the tech at least two hours to resolve by phone, while still handling attending to others. Overall, this young lady(Molly), and the pharmacy crew did an incredible job. For that I am thankful. A big thank you to Walmart pharmacy members at this location. Overall, the entire staff does the best they can, and Molly I believe was the techs name."
