"These people are so lazy it's crazy. They keep pushing the last lab patient deadline up further and further and close the lab 10 minutes before they're supposed to. I have gone in twice once 10 minutes before the cutoff and once 3 minutes after and there was nobody in there but they said "they had to process" all the labs from the day and were too busy" I looked in the window on the side of the building and they were just standing around picking their nails."
"I wasn't planning on reviewing this place, but now I've had two bad experiences so here it goes. The first issue was the worst, so I will start with that one. A couple months ago I was showing classic signs of a yeast infection. The last time I had one was something like 10 years ago and I had a doctor give me medication for it, so I thought I had to do that again and came to this place for the first time. First of all, they had me change in front of an OPEN WINDOW. I thought it was a one way window, until the doctor came in and went, "Oops! We don't usually make people change for the parking lot!" and closed the blinds. Then, she did her thing and took a look and told me everything looked normal (I don't know what she has going on down there, but everything did NOT look normal), but if I was experiencing discomfort we could test for STDs. I told her there was literally no chance it was an STD, but she did the tests anyways and told me she was sending a prescription to CVS just in case it was a yeast infection. Her "prescription" was me going up to the CVS counter and them telling me they just got a note for me to go grab the over the counter medication and buy it like normal. She couldn't have just told me that? Then a week or so later I got the test results back and lo and behold, it was a yeast infection which had now gone away thanks to the over the counter drugs, and I didn't have an STD but had to pay $40 for the test. On to the second issue from this morning. I was told by my doctor that I needed to have annual blood work done, so this morning I called this office to make sure I had everything I needed to do that. They told me they didn't need anything and to just come on in, "We'll see you soon!" I show up and talk to the receptionist with rather large lashes and nails and say, "I'm here for some blood work" to which she responds, "The labs are closed." I explain that I just called and they told me to come in, a 20 minute drive for me and she just repeats, "The labs are closed." I ask her to look me up in the computer please, because I literally just talked to someone who did that, I even confirmed it was the same phone number as their's. She does, and repeats that the labs are closed until January 3rd. Absolutely no attempt to understand who I talked to and why they mislead me, no apology, nothing. Told me to go to another place down the road, and they did great. This place is a mess."
"I also had an ear infection and bad experience back on a Friday night in July 2023 that sounds similar to another recent reviewer below. I got misdiagnosed and mistreated at the Thousand Oaks location. Dr. Deep Desai saw me and although he was nice he didn't treat the ear infection and wouldn't prescribe medication to get better. I guess he didn't believe me when I told him I had an ear infection. He concluded there was no infection. So for the next ~36 hours my ear infection got much worse, causing serious pain and suffering. It was terrible, affecting eating, talking, moving, etc. Then early Sunday morning I went to a different UCLA Immediate Care in Woodland Hills where the doctor immediately diagnosed me correctly, gave me medication, and I started getting better within a day. I couldn't believe it though when the Thousand Oaks location wouldn't retract what they billed me or even consider negotiating the bill since they misdiagnosed and mistreated me. It's been a terrible experience with UCLA Thousands Oaks Immediate Care."
"I was here yesterday with high fever, ear infection and bad coughs, but turned away by your front desk in a very rude way. I wrote a review here about it, hoping to get your attention to improve the service. Surprise, surprise, my review disappeared over night ! I was working for UCLA medical center for 20 years and have been using the service for over 30 years. I have always loved your service. But I’ve never seen such a thing happen before. The front desk girl with very thick fake eye lashes was the rude one. You single handedly ruined the name of this clinic. Someone please give me an explanation. Thank you."
"Nice location and facility but staff does not have any personality and the labs are RIDICULOUS! I had 7 people in line in front of me on June 21, 2023 I waited 20 minutes and not a single person got called in, I left because I am not going to wait 2+ hours to get blood drawn. Update: it is June 22, 2023 I got here at 8:05 AM (they open at 8:00 AM) there are 5 people in line in front of me already for labs and i asked the front desk how many people are working in the lab department and ONLY 1 STAFF MEMBER IS.. it is now 8:20 AM and no one has gotten called back yet.. don't waste your time getting labs done here UNLESS YOU HAVE TO!"
