Option Care

"OptionCare as a company is the most disorganized healthcare organization I have ever encountered. I get quarterly IV infusions managed through OptionCare (not my choice of infusion center), and I get them done through home health, so a nurse comes to my house. I have been doing this since 2020. On one occasion they sent me someone else's medication delivery, and I had to repackage it and be available to have it picked up and it almost made my medication delivery late. On another occasion, they did not deliver my materials at all, because their team failed to complete my re-authorization of medication--over a month after my insurance authorization expired. I have been getting this same medication for nearly 3 years and they dropped the ball, and didn't tell me. My nurse called OptionCare and got no response, and so did I. When I finally got through to someone, they didn't apologize. They never answer their voicemail, so you have to call them back several times. The time that they never delivered my medication and I found out it was because my insurance never authorized it because THEY never submitted my re-authorization, I am still waiting on them to do this weeks late and I am behind on getting my infusion. If I wasn't hounding them to do this, they wouldn't do it. Everyone who works in operations here is unprofessional and doesn't seem to care about patients at all. It's so irritating working with them but I'm too tired to find a new infusion center."

"So what can I say you get what you pay for. This company only cares of taking your money or refuse you treatment. Schedulers are extremely condescending to your needs.STAY AWAY IF YOU CAN! Makes no sense on coming here unless you want to be dragged and yelled at for your livelihood."

"We have had very good service from Option Care until two weeks ago. My husband receives a bimonthly infusion for Crohn’s disease from them. Two weeks ago the nurse who Infuses him called to ask whether the medicine had arrived, and when I called the company to ask about it, they said it hadn’t been authorized. it took me a week of them not answering my phone calls to discover that authorization is not needed from Medicare. My husband is now almost 2 weeks late with his infusion and is writhing in pain from the Crohn’s disease. The company seems to be indifferent to my pointing out that hospitalization is a lot more expensive than Infusion, because of course they are not paying for the hospitalization."

"Their service has turned sour.. I ordered a refill and when about four days passed by I called for an update on the status of my delivery... I was told that the order wasn't placed..so I had to order another refill...I was told that my delivery would take one to two days..they sent one package out of three and told me the other package had gone out on the day it supposed to have arrived...Their service is like that of a slow moving sloth with a handicap...Now they say that it will arrive Monday when it should have arrived Thursday along with the tape...If it wasn't for having to give at least one star in order to post a comment.. I wouldn't have."
