"5 stars to Dr Kort and all the doctors, nurses, medical staff, and receptionists. Absolutely wonderful medical care. The medical team is so responsive and compassionate, and the customer service is the best. We did 2 retrievals and so far it looks like my transfer is sticking:). We are so so grateful for your help growing our family. Unfortunately, the Finance office was a different story. We were overcharged $12k. That could be understandable, insurance is confusing and math is hard. But they didn’t actually tell me they overcharged us until 4 months after our last retrieval when I requested my account summary for my taxes at the end of the year. How long would it have taken if I hadn’t asked? Then it was another 3 months (!!!) before we actually received the check. I did not appreciate giving the finance office an interest free $12k loan for 7 months. But again, medical team was A1!!"

During our interactions, she patiently explained all the available options, taking into consideration my concerns about the financial aspects of undergoing IVF treatment. It was Dr. Shapiro who suggested exploring the less expensive but still effective option of intrauterine insemination (IUI). Dr. Shapiro's compassion and attentiveness went beyond what I expected from a fertility doctor. She listened intently to my fears, doubts, and worries, providing solace and reassurance. Her sincere dedication to her patients was reflected in every interaction, and her calm demeanor and angelic face instilled faith and trust in the process of assisted reproduction. Even after a failed first attempt, she encouraged me not to lose hope and to surrender my worries to her capable hands. A Prayer for a Miracle. Throughout the arduous journey of medications, ultrasounds, and treatments funded out of my own pocket, my body and mind underwent various changes and challenges. During my second insemination attempt, with only one vial of hope left, I fervently prayed to God for a miracle. I pleaded for this opportunity to fulfill my deepest desire – to become a mother. It was in this moment that I truly believed that if it was meant to be, it would happen. Miraculously, my prayers were answered. After my second insemination in October 2023, the news of my pregnancy arrived like a divine blessing. Now, at 17 weeks pregnant, I can confidently say that RMA Fertility and Dr. Alice Shapiro have given me the greatest gift of all – the gift of life. The path that seemed impossible due to financial constraints and life stresses suddenly transformed into a beautiful reality, thanks to their unwavering support and expertise. The staff's lack of professionalism and empathy left me feeling frustrated and unsupported throughout my journey. First and foremost, the staff members were consistently rude and seemingly uninterested in understanding my concerns and questions. It was disheartening to not receive the emotional support one would expect during such a sensitive and trying time. Another major issue I encountered was the complete lack of transparency and communication. At every step of the process, I felt like I was in the dark. I didn't receive the information I needed, and every stage felt like a surprise, leaving me anxious and uncertain about what to expect next. The most concerning incident was when I discovered a critical medication was missing from my treatment plan. It was alarming that the clinic failed to realize this omission, and I had to bring it to their attention myself. This oversight not only caused unnecessary delays but also undermined my confidence in their ability to provide safe and effective care. Overall, my experience with this fertility clinic was impaired by unprofessionalism, poor communication, and a lack of attention to detail.
