"In my 20 year career I have seen the worst of what a domestic first responder and healthcare worker can see in the form of human physical, psychological and social trauma. I was referred to Dr. Banga by my attending physician for potential ketamine therapy and a second opinion in the setting of major depression disorder with invasive rumination of negative thinking related to PTSD that was resistant to standard therapy. He was very transparent. He educated me on the cost and helped me with my out of office care plan to optimize my mental health. What differentiates Dr. Banga’s clinic is that his approach is from the perspective of research based clinical care administration of ketamine by psychiatrist (Dr. Banga) every treatment. He also assess me as a patient every treatment. His office provides a safe space for ketamine therapy. He is actively assessing if his ketamine therapy is helping me. The experience is different from ketamine clinics in which the medication is given IV by anesthesiologists with a psychiatric consultation. I like Dr. Banga’s approach because he uses evidenced based medicine at a price I can afford for the long run. Intramuscular administration has worked for me. Along with quality therapy, brainspotting and traditional medications, ketamine has stopped the PTSD rumination. Ketamine for me is not the cure, but it is a highly effective tool to help me do the work of living well on a daily basis with as Dr. Banga says “love, kindness and self compassion.” This is my experience. Others may vary but mine has been life changing in a positive way. Dr. Banga is worth the consult if one is considering ketamine."

"I started seeing Dr Banga at a very low point in my life a couple of years ago. I was diagnosed by a therapist with a specific disorder and it was clear that medication would help. After talking with Dr Banga about how I was doing, about my symptoms, etc. he came to a different diagnosis. I chose to trust his conclusions about what medication to take, even though it was different than what my therapist wanted. I am so thankful that I did, and that he stuck with his experience and training rather than going along with what someone else was telling him. It didn't take long at all after taking what he prescribed to not only feel myself again, but to start thriving in life, which I hadn't experienced in YEARS! I refer people to him all of the time, and I would trust him with my own son, who is only 10. I also drive the half hour from my home to see him for short 15 minute check ins because it is well worth the time and distance. He has also given many other suggestions outside of meds that have helped in huge ways, which I value as well since I don't just want a quick fix. He is thoughtful and compassionate, which I have found to be more rare in this field. I don't feel like a number or project like I did at a previous psychiatrist. He listens and takes into consideration all that I say. I believe that he has reasons behind however he responds to his patients, and I admire that he sticks with them since many of us come in very low places. I could have left mad that he didn't agree with my therapist and concluded that he was prideful or something, but his confidence built my trust and time has only continued to prove him wise, experienced and professional! His staff are also amazing! They are very kind and compassionate and keep things running on time! I feel complete trust interacting with them as well, which is a big deal in those times I don't even want to be seen. I only have positive to say! "I have been going to Family Psychiatry Center for almost two years. I see Dr. Banga and could not be happier with him. He oversees and administers ketamine treatment for my bipolar depression. He is empathetic, kind, professional, and knowledgeable. The staff is wonderful too. Ketamine has saved my life.
