"Doctor Kennedy and the staff are amazing. Saved my life with the correct adjustments to my neuropace implant. No more seizures. Driving again."
"For supposedly having a sterling reputation, this hospital is NOT. One of the problems is extreme disorganization and too many patients. Communication is poor and expect to be stressed because of critical issues treated as insignificant problems. Update-I live in a small rural town with one pharmacy that offers covid boosters. They said they couldn't give me one unless UCDavis neurology gave a green light because of the meds. I contacted them and the reply? A nurse wrote saying the doctor was too busy to call the pharmacy, and the neurological dept gets dozens of requests similar to mine. That was IT. I called patient relations + told them I really wasn't interested in getting sick w/covid, and would like the issue resolved asap. Nothing like the feeling of medical personnel not giving a damn"
"I've been dealing with painful headaches 5-6 days a week since early 2022. I was referred to multiple specialists with no relief. I was finally referred to UC Davis and had to wait 6 months for their soonest availability. But it's worth the wait to finally have not only answers of what's wrong, but also what can be done. My Dr. was incredibly understanding and extremely knowledgeable. I never felt like I was being rushed. She took the time to answer any questions we had, and we were blown away by the care and concern she showed. My follow up appt will have a much shorter wait time it seems, so anyone who is frustrated with the lengthy process to get in to be seen I can only say that finally being correctly diagnosed and having a plan moving forward was totally worth it."
"I haven't even been able to get in to see a neurologist. My referral was received in April and I've called and checked on it being told it would take longer. I called today June 22 and they informed me they closed the referral because they didn't receive any records. No call to let anyone know the referral was closed. If there is a referral sent then there is a reason whether you receive the records not. Absolutely unprofessional. I give an extra star because the people I've talked to have been really nice and understanding. I might change the review if anything changes."
"Had a small fiber nerve biopsy done in December and waited a month and a half for results. When I didn't hear anything I called to check. I was told my the results were sent to my GP. Checked with him, nothing. Called back and left another message for the care team. I received a message on myChart that my results were sent to my GP. Checked with him and he received the visit summary NOT the pathology results. Called AGAIN and they tried to get me off the phone again, saying they would leave another message. I refused this time and demanded (repeatedly) to speak with someone who could help me. They claimed that the results don't come to their office, but are sent directly to the GP. When I asked for the contact info for the lab, they refused and tried to send me to medical records. I sent a message to the care team threatening legal action unless my records were sent, feeling like I had no other options at that point. I found a number for patient relations, called them, and the representative was wonderful. She got the nursing manager on the phone, who miraculously located the results and sent them to my doctor the same day. Amazing, that. I was given the runaround for 2 weeks. The people who work at this clinic are either incompetent, indifferent or both. I recommend patient relations to everyone if (when) you have a problem with this clinic."
