"I'm going to kill myself this place is deplorable the front desk don't know how to do their jobs This place is deplorable been coming to west central for over 20yrs the people working here are rude and have anger issues with people of color. The black women who work here are racist and trash since the pandemic things have gotten worse There's no help in mental health at all. There were 2 good people working here and the rest are trash. There needs to be an investigation of how these women treat their patients especially men. It's like they are judge and jury and have a vendetta against men. The Government and FBI needs to investigate the unprofessional work"
"My therapist and her husband dropped by on Sunday. She invited me to take a classes at her church. I went and was happy. It was a blessing because my dad died and I had no where else to go."
"They have gotten better, only LA county mental health clinic I know that will set up appointments for new patients. If you have no insurance, they will pay for your meds too. Has a pharmacy, Garfield, close by that knows what they are doing. Been coming here for years. Only problem is the wait to get an appointment. If you come early at 8am, you can get lucky and be seen as a walk-in if another patient cancels."
"Seek help elsewhere. Incredibly nasty staff who treat adult patients they don't care for like pariahs, and in some cases go out of their way to let you know it. Very difficult to reschedule appointments, even if you give the administrative staff more than a month's notice. And if you don't have an appointment or need to urgently see a doctor, expect to wait at least 3-4 hours to be seen, especially if these petty people don't like you. Most of the good staff members and clinicians have left the clinic, so you have to deal with characters whose behavior would not be tolerated anywhere else. If you currently receive services from DMH West Central and have complaints about the care provided, contact California Department of Health Services Mental Health Ombudsman office."
