"Please please please employee competent people to help serve your hospital. When a mother comes in to say her child (adult child, but still my child), is in an emergency C-section in labor and delivery, tells you the room number, and you as security continuously say her child is not here in an already stressful situation at 3:30am for her daughter’s first child and all you’re trying to do is get to your child! Had to get someone else involved to call up to labor and delivery to validate yes my child is her, yes she’s going into the operating room IN labor and delivery! Then send someone to escort to take me to the WRONG floor and wrong waiting room while you’re telling them she’s in labor and delivery in their operating room, to then have to wait even longer for the person to verify oh yes wrong floor and finally get to where we need to be! Do better Marian! Please train your people better. Train them people skills. Train them how to use your system or even their own common sense to be helpful rather than dismissive. If security is hired through another agency and you can’t train them, they shouldn’t be the one that people have to deal with."
"Don’t trust them with your loved ones. My mother in law was here because she fell and fractured her spine. They let her fall again in the hospital and once again at this facility worsening her fracture. The facility said they “wish they had millions and millions and millions of dollars” so they could provide more care. After the 3rd fall they said they can’t afford to just have someone sit here and watch her. They let her get so dehydrated and constipated that she (in her 80’s) thought she was in labor. They are negligent! Now she is home where we watch her constantly, while she lays in pain moaning whenever awake."
"They are under staff or just do not provide enough staff for a facility this size. Sad, the staff are good people I am sure but they cannot provide the leval of care that one expects. They do not listen to residents and the noise level from other rooms is very high."
"My experience was when my husband ended up at extended care later year. He had a hip replacement in which he had bad reaction to anesthesia. To be perfectly honest the experience was good. I on the other hand was there daily. From maybe 8:30 am til 6 pm. Yes he lost weight, but the problem is lack of enough help in all facilities. I was lucky enough to actually help in certain situations which helped the staff. If you are there long enough to watch what goes on you might be able to have a bit of understanding in the situations at the facility. I’m aware not everyone can be there all day but it does help. I will agree on visiting arrangements it too was not monitored."
"I have been a quest of this place for a month and a half. During that time i have lost weight. The nurses don't enforce visiting rules or noise rules. They start your day of at 630 am with all the stupid test that they could do later. Also, the nurses dont listen, when you say no or of you refuse to listen. I am glad that my here is over, and I will be able to get back to VA care."
