"After speaking with other veterans that use Va services across the United States was told that California Va centers do not have the best reputation . 50% of the time you will come across doctors that actually have good intentions, some va employees will lie and attempt to deceive you by going around general va protocols just to give you the bare minimum in healthcares services. My advice is to do your research, talk to other veterans, continue to fight for the health care us veterans deserve and report mistreatment to the appropriate offices."

All I can give you is naproxen Oh you need to call the clinic? You need to call Los Angeles first Finally get ahold of Los Angeles? The rude lady on the other line sure won't help you, she's too busy. Think you can see a local doctor instead of Los Angeles? Oh no they don't do approvals. If the old man in the wheelchair can make it to the santa Maria bus at 6am so can you! Oh and don't bother calling you won't get a call back. Finally get an appointment 6 months later? Oh look there's no one at the desk to help you cause the whole building went to lunch."

"Despite the negative reviews some have left this VA clinic and it's doctors and staff go out of their way to accommodate , in my opinion every Vet who comes in gets the best of care. It is true that the Santa Maria clinic has issues with phone calls and returning a call to me. They are short handed both in staff and a couple doctors at least. That said if any Vets reading this should not be leary of this clinic, Everyone will go out their way to give you the best care possible. You just have to go into the clinic to get the ball rolling if you have never been to this VA clinic or even if you have never been to any Vets medical facilities , this particular clinic will help you get started and continue to give you the best care possible."
