"I went to your office in June 2022 because I have been having a problem walking and have been using a cane because of my hip. (Severe degenerative changes and tears) I also have bad knees. I was told during that visit that I would need a hip replacement, but I’m too young. I was told that my only option was to have steroids injected into my hip and take anti-inflammatory medications until I hit 50 years old, and then I’d be eligible for hip replacement surgery. Your staff said I had no other options available. I did have other options available! Shame on your office staff for not giving me this information. You wanted to keep me coming in for steroid injections and you wanted to bill my insurance for the hip replacement surgery. Two weeks ago I had a Stem Cell treatment on my hip. I already am able to put more weight on my leg, I don’t need my cane, and the achy pain that shot down my leg is gone! (I haven’t taken any anti-inflammatories in weeks) Obviously, it will take months for my full recovery, but I’m already seeing results! If anyone is reading this and you were told the same thing, I highly recommend contacting the stem cell place I went to in Walnut Creek CA. - I’m going back today for a treatment on my knees. I’ll update my review in a few months!"

"NB Orthopædics is a group of Orthopædic Surgeons and the PA’s (Physician Assistants) they directly supervise. Dr. Andrew Brooks treats mainly lower extremity (knee and hip) and Dr. Robert Peterson treats mainly upper extremity. Daniel Hartley is Dr. Brooks PA and Hannah Mertens is Dr. Peterson’s PA. I have been treated by all of the medical staff here and could not get more competent, compassionate, professional care any where else even at a tertiary care center! The PA’s are very nice and very good at what they do. Everyone associated with NB Orthopaedics is great to work with from the office staff to the MA’s (medical assistants - Kaitlyn), nurses (Erin and Shannon!), PA’s (Daniel and Hannah) and MD’s (Dr. Brooks and Dr. Peterson!). They will work closely with your other physicians to make sure you get the best, most up-to-date but clinically sound treatment options. You work with the treating staff instead of them dictating what should happen. They communicate in whatever way necessary to achieve complete understanding. NB Orthopedics gets my highest recommendation for all your bone and joint needs."
