"I've been a member for a while but just recently spending more time using Goldrush. There is a wealth of information available and when I take a class they are willing to answer any question. I also just booked a "hot week" and it went very smoothly."
"Well no they aren't timeshare sales people, it's more like travel club..to join, its $8,990 + $ 425.registration/sign up fee,and $145. a month..that allows you T.A. rates, which are lower than consumer rates. You have to book really far in advance, like months and months, may be good for big families, but definitly an investment, and you get to travel at those rates, not necessarily your family(if you aren't joining them). This "club" doesnt include any airfare, with a few exceptions.. they got us ,by telling me they weren't selling anything, but that I had won, at a raffle I entered , at a festival last month.anyway, if you do go and want it, bring your$$$, the deal is only good for2 ,instead of 1 on the DAY you are there"
"This company is awesome! IF and it's a big IF, you're ready to travel then come to their 90 minute presentation, then add another 45 afterwards for prizes and and paperwork finalization. Its a great deal/offer IF you're going to be traveling. It's basically you pay them to be a travel agent, then you get all the travel agent savings on your trips. Huge savings and is worth it IF the time is right for you."
"I became a member of this place. All in all I think it's a good program if you do a lot of traveling. If you don't do a lot of traveling it's not a good program. My brother travels 6 or 7 times a year and this would be a great program for him and probably save them thousands of dollars a year however I travel once every other year and I find it this program has been a waste of my money. If you spend more than three or four thousand dollars a year it will pay for itself in a few years. You spend five to $10,000 a year will pay for itself in two years. Make your decision based on your life and happy travels."
"The first time we went on a weekday presentation, coming from San Francisco, there were 2 accidents and we were late, then they won't let us do the presentation. Ben offered an additional restaurant gift card for not being able to accommodate us to the presentation and reschedule us on a weekend. I was so adamant to come back but my husband wants to go back and just have a firm mind of just getting the freebies and say No because we've done a timeshare presentation before, said no to it and was able to use all the gift getaways that we got. The presentation is not a timeshare, it's not a multilevel marketing, it's something else that offers you to buy a lifetime membership that is transferable and with an annual $149 dues including tax. I don't know why others felt they were pressured to buy because the presenter himself told us that before he starts that they are going to offer us something, in the end, told us the amount of $9000 and after the presentation just let them know if it's for us or not and they will not even pressure us to buy. There are 3 couples including us in the presentation, the couple next to us literally just took the gift and bail (which we intended to do at 1st), their sales agent didn't even hassle with them. In the end, we honestly find value to what they provide. We got the lifetime scaled down membership for 2 that is transferable. I know other people think it's a scam but if you truly learn to know the ins and outs of how to utilize their program it's a deal even if you don't sell any of their travels to anyone and just use it for yourself. I know you can be an outside travel agents and not pay anything but training prices varies and when it comes to travel there are a lot of moving pieces and doing training is consistent but if you're a member of GoldRush all of it are free (well we haven't gone to one that it isn't, may it be on campus or online). They are now preferred partner with Expedia and I use Expedia to most of my travels. Now I book at their Expedia GoldRush Agent website, I get the same price or lower plus I get commission and my Expedia member points, how cool is that! I think their affiliation to Expedia is one of the reasons that got me sold."
