"Went here with a snapped collar bone and the doctor couldn’t even read the x ray to tell me whether or not how bad my break was. So they sent me to a real doctor to look at the x ray and they didn’t even send it. I’ve now had to wait two weeks to get another x ray just because they are to incompetent to send over the x ray they are taking. Not to mention the doctor seemed like she had no idea what she was doing and was anything but nice. I would never recommend this place and it’s a block from my house."
"The staff were friendly, but I did not get the diagnosis or treatment I needed. I was there 2 days ago, they tested me for the flu and said I was negative. Said it was probably something viral and sent me home with no medication. I'm at Sutter ER today, Christmas day, and I've been diagnosed with the flu and pneumonia. Sutter is taking great care of me."
"I went for a severe allergic reaction in my eyes (almost swollen shut), although I did not have an appointment, the staff decided to see me anyways and I am absolutely grateful. I have waited hours in urgent cares before to be seen; but here I was treated very speedily and was out the door in only around forty-five mins with a prescription."
"Although the care I received was great - short wait, kind staff, problem solved quickly- Providence/St Joseph's billing practices are borderline fraudulent to the point that I will actively avoid using a facility or provider in their plan. They billed for an ER Visit (SR Memorial) AND out-patient/Urgent Care. I've spent about four hours on hold or speaking with their billing offices so far, trying to get this cleared up. Their current explanation is that they bill separately for the treating physician, but my insurance company tells me that is incorrect; urgent care is covered under one co-pay. Worse, one of their representatives was abusive: repeatedly threatened me with collections if I didn't pay all the charges immediately and even "warned" me that her notice to pay immediately to avoid collections was recorded so I wouldn't have an excuse not to pay the collections costs. Note that this occurred when I called them to find out why I was still being billed for a co-payment I had paid two months prior. Another representative told me that my insurance plan is the problem if they won't cover the second charge and I should find a better plan instead of blaming Providence/St. Joseph. Quick shout out to LaVita at Blue Shield who patiently reviewed this issue with me, then sat on hold with Providence for a solid 40 minutes, only to be told that they will "review" the invoices and to call back in 10 days. I didn't have the heart to tell LaVita that they told me that over a month ago and eventually determined both charges are "valid and correct.""
"Overall I’ve had very positive experiences, obviously there’s often a wait but If you save your place in line online it isn’t so bad. Everyone at the front desk and the security guard are very kind, and up until today all of the care providers have been helpful and kind. I went in for a sustained fever of 104, and when I was seen by Marci she asked “Well what do you want me to do about it?” My dad and many others in the past have told me that you should seek help once a fever reaches 104, and to that she said “Well is your dad a doctor?” She continued to be incredibly rude so I left. I don’t know why you would enter the medical profession with an attitude like that."
