"I really want to like La Clinica. I admire their mission. But I am officially beyond frustrated. It is almost impossible to navigate their contact system. Sometimes you get messages saying they are closed though you are calling during office hours. Sometimes you get passed to an incoherent voicemail. Sometimes you are on hold forever. Sometimes you get passed, passed back and passed again. For an agency that is supposed to serve lower income people, this is so frustrating as a single mom who has to take an entire morning off to make an appointment or try and get simple answers. Then there is the matter of the doctors, whom I actually love. They seem to genuinely care. But then they say they'll research something and never call you back. Or, they use the internet system for relaying important information that never gets to the patient. Basically my son has been waiting 6 months for an answer about a pretty serious health issue, and just keeps getting passed. I'm writing this as I wait on the phone hearing the occasional "please hold and a representative will be with you shortly." It's been about 35 minutes. Well now someone just answered and said they are the answering service, that La Clinica just rolled their phones back so that they could have an impromptu meeting, during business hours, and when I have taken time off to reach them. I will go through the long and tedious process of finding new providers, but I just set my family up here about a year ago, and I feel really bummed about it. I wish they could just figure out how to make it easy to speak with someone, rather than having the worst, most complicated, inefficient point of contact I have ever witnessed."
