About Us
Mather VA Hospital, located at 10593 Peter A McCuen Boulevard in Mather, California, is a state-of-the-art 81-bed inpatient facility offering a wide range of comprehensive health care services including medical, surgical, primary, and mental health care. The hospital features 25 medical-surgical beds, 30 TCU beds, 10 ICU beds, 16 BHICU beds, and a four-room operating suite, as well as a cardiac catheterization lab, a gastrointestinal & endoscopy suite, angiography capability, and a 16,000 square-foot research laboratory.
The hospital also provides outpatient and diagnostic services such as mammography, MRI, CT, and PET scanning. Wheelchairs are available on campus for patients who need them, and transportation services are provided for Veterans and authorized caregivers to get to scheduled medical appointments.
Visitors are not permitted to stay overnight in the hospital, but there are nearby hotels that offer a hospital rate and shuttle service to the VA hospital. The hospital also features a cafeteria serving hot and cold entrees, beverages, and desserts, as well as a retail store with tax-free purchases.
The hospital offers a variety of medical services including asthma and allergy treatment, anesthesiology, audiology and speech pathology, cardiac care, critical care, endocrinology, and more. The VA Northern California Health Care System has implemented additional safety measures in response to COVID-19 to ensure the best care for Veterans.

"Had an appointment with orthopedic. Dr at 2.P.M. Today . Had to get X-rays before so I walked in to radiology at 1.45 and sat. After six people came in AFTER me and we helped.I went up at 210 and told the three people behind the desk that I Beas tired of waiting ,where one lady said that the Ortho people knew they ran behind. I went to Orthoprdects that since I. Was already late to cancel my appt. ,which I was already late for."
