Reviews
"Very beautiful and quiet campground. Well maintained hiking trails everywhere. Park offers large RV pull thru and regular spaces. Each one private and nicely shaded. It's hard to believe this place is so close to the busy city."
"This place has the best trail access. We are big fans of O'neill. The rangers are great and friendly and do a great job of patrolling the park and keeping it clean. We have stayed here a lot while living in our camper and have loved the ease of access to trails. There is no electricity so be mindful of that when planning a visit. You will hear generators running but there are quiet hours and the rangers seem to do a good job enforcing it. We walk the trails almost every day and they are well-maintained and vary in difficulty. This place is also insanely affordable which makes their 2-week-a-month limit disappointing but understandable. Pay attention to the site lengths when booking as some sites are long enough for a trailer but not wide enough to fit your car in. Also, pay attention to whether or not the site has water as not every site has access to water. This is a good spot for full-timers who have generators. Most of the sites are nice and shady and the dump for black and grey water is free which is very unusual for California campgrounds."
"Always a good vibe at O'Neill Park. You'd never know you're 15 minutes from the urban sprawl amongst the oaks here. The grounds are well maintained given the heavy use and the facilities clean. Day use and overnight camping available...hook ups for RV's but mostly dry camp sites. Late night coyote sing alongs."
"Nice campground with good amenities like restrooms and hot showers. Also dog friendly. Our only complaint is the proximity of the main road to the campground with constant loud motorcycle and car traffic. The noise pollution took away from the camping experience."
"We had a great time space is well maintained the Rangers where nice. Bathrooms are very clean and easy to access. My daughter loved the playground, and the trails were awesome. Recommended."
