Hercor Hotel 692 H Street, Chula Vista, CA 91910

"Excellently run and newly remodeled "boutique" hotel, which is situated just a block or so away from a major transit station (light rail/bus stop). So, even though it's in Chula Vista, you can get anywhere you need to go via public transportation and $2.50 fare for a couple of hours' worth of travel. (But bring hand sanitizer with you if you use public transport). We went as far as LA Jolla Cove to the north and as far south as San Ysidro (US/Mexico border). Everything was great about the hotel. The only minor thing is that the room itself was a bit crowded/small. The bathroom and shower were exceptional though. We were there for a 3 week period due to a medical visit from out of state, and EVERY EMPLOYEE was friendly, cordial, and extremely helpful. Highly recommended."

"Really recommend you staying here! Service was fantastic, the girls at the front desk are very lovely and helpful. The rooms were clean and welcoming. The breakfast was very decent for the price! One recommendation - if you find the air freshener too strong, ask them to remove it."

"The towels and blankets smelled awful, I asked for new ones and still had the same issue. Other than that very close to trolly and 7/11 next door. Quiet atmosphere."

"They have ants. Couldn’t even eat my food I was so grossed out. Cracks in the walls, the walls are thin, you can hear traffic through the night. I felt too uncomfortable to sleep. Checked in somewhere else."

"Really great, with a very small deduction. We were skeptical at first because our room faced the street. However, the rooms are incredibly well insulated, so you really can't hear any traffic noise. The rooms are also beautifully furnished and elegantly equipped. A wonderful bathroom with a great shower. The breakfast room offers free fruit and snacks during the day and a small breakfast in the morning for a fee. 7eleven next door, taco stand opposite - you can stay here for a while. I would have liked a small fridge in the room. Unfortunately, it was not possible for us to cool our provisions. Fortunately, there is a 7eleven right next door, so you can get chilled drinks here at any time. I would also have appreciated a kettle, but that should not be a point of criticism."
