"The room is average/typical for a Hampton Inn. The location is relatively convenient to the highway and some decent restaurants. I would stay away based on the service. The breakfast is below average and the customer service at the desk is the worst I've had. I tried to check out at 05:55 am. I stood in front of the agent for 3 minutes before being acknowledged. Then, I remained standing/wondering when I would be helped (so much so I thought maybe someone thought the front desk computers were the "business center computers" and it wasn't an employee). A manager was clearly in the back this whole time and about 30 minutes into my waiting, came out nonchalantly saying "Sorry I just got here" and started wiping down counters instead of helping check the building line out. The agent "helping" me clearly needed more training since once the manager finally came over to her computer, I was checked out in 2 minutes. It took me 41 minutes to finally obtain my receipt and checkout. I would have surely missed a flight since it usually takes 38 seconds to hand room cards in and get a paper receipt; luckily, I wasn't flying."
"Got a room the week of Thanksgiving and it turned out to be a pretty good deal. The location is close to a lot of activities but you'll definitely have to drive or find a ride. If you do drive, pay attention to the fact that you need to pay for parking. It's not a deal killer and other hotels in the area charge more for parking. Space is limited so it's understandable. The staff at the front desk is super friendly and explains everything really well. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Pretty simple and good for the price."
"The staff may need more training! They were nice however they didn’t seem to know what to do. They booked another guess into my room when I had already been in the room for two nights. They even sent the maintenance man to try and get into my room as I was trying to sleep. The fire alarm went off at midnight and had to evacuate and the front desk didn’t bother to inform us of the all clear from the fire department, we got the info from another guess who overheard them talking. I would sleep outside before I book another room there."
"This hotel has lack of maintanence. We were not able to enter our room since the card reader battery dies and card does not work each time. We reported the issue yet they did not fix it. Additionally bathroom fan was not working. Shower head dispenses water everywhere but not to the center. Furnitures were so old and worn out. Was a surprising experience as we did not have much issue before with this hotel chain. Hopefully they consider a renovation soon."
"This hotel is exceptionally clean and amenities are excellent! I was extremely pleased with the hotel gym, very nice equipment, including a tv with all the sports channels I was happy to enjoy while I worked out during NFL games, very nice, clean, refreshing pool and hot tub with jets, and an excellent continental hot breakfast. The breakfast was delicious, fresh, and definitely one of the more important deciding factors for me when choosing a hotel. I would have given this experience 5 stars, however I was treated very rudely by a front desk employee named Yolanda. Upon my initial interaction with her, she acted agitated that I was requesting a call to housekeeping for pool towels. Granted, she was helping a guest at the same time I asked, so I understand and left the situation, still assuming when she was done she'd request towels. After 30 minutes in the pool, and no towels replenished, I decided to just go upstairs and grab a shower towel. No big deal. The problem I have was later that day when I went to check-out. There was a small issue with my check-out, and the new trainee helping me, asked her to help rectify an over charge, and she stated she could not help either of us because she needed to go on break. I completely understand taking breaks and all for making them a priority, I have been overworked, so I get it. My issue is the blatant disrespect felt as she proceeded to help 3 additional guests, after refusing to help me. I am a paying customer just like everyone else, and if she had a certain prejudice or issue, then maybe customer service is not the right field for her."
