Best Western Plus Carpinteria Inn

"My husband & I stayed here this past week, for a couple of days. We were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary. We’ve never been to Carpenteria. I wanted to use my points in my rewards which was a plus for me. The front desk check in went smooth. I asked the front desk clerk about an elevator to the restaurant. He told me it was out of order. I do use a walker & cane. My husband told me, he would help me up the stairs as the Sunset grill was on third floor. We ordered food @ restaurant. They don’t provide room service. You need to pick it up. My husband & I decided to go pick it up & have a drink @ the bar. The bartender was very nice! Her name was Erica. We had a nice time in the bar. She even let me play my music!! I loved that!! She told us there was an Elevator we could use. I don’t understand why the front desk clerk didn’t inform us there was another elevator we could use. Going up those stairs was very difficult more me. It caused some pain that night in my knees & hip. This was the issue I had. The rooms were decent , they do need upgrading. The furniture is scratched up some. The courtyard is the only nice thing about this hotel. The lights are pretty @ night. The pool area is small. My husband & I had it to ourselves which was nice. I would of appreciated if they told us about the elevator. We might of stayed for dinner in restaurant, instead of picking up our food. There was also noise coming from upstairs constantly. You could hear loud footsteps continually. It gave my husband a migraine. Our stay will probably be our last here."

"The location and the ambiance is amazing. The room was clean and recently updated. However. Long before you put in a snazzy bath you should really update the extremely noisy AC unit that keeps your guests from sleeping. Frankly, sleep is really why I'm here."

"Tiny room that a person to move over to let the other person walk. Hardly any “courtyard view” when trees blocked their small window, after front desk said the rooms had “courtyard view.” Never brought blankets/towels requested, after front desk said they would. Not worth almost $200 per night for their microminiuture room with little view and lack of service."

"Definitely do not stay if you need to sleep. The room heater was so loud we had to turn it off. The blankets are thin and cheap so they did not keep us warm. As such, we were cold and miserable the whole night since it was 50 degrees outside. The walls are paper thin and the water lines are super noisy. This means every time the room on either side of us flushed or used water, we were awoken by the noise. In particular, the bathroom on one side of us was right next to our headboard...it was extremely loud and made sleep impossible. The courtyard is also loud as drunk people go out there and smoke/cough. Best Western Plus hotels usually serve a free hot breakfast, this one does not but they have an over priced horrible quality cafe. The price was particularly high as well, about 40% more than we usually pay for a Best Western Plus. So, all in all, this place looks great on the outside, but the rooms themselves are not conducive to sleep or rest. This is not a good hotel if you are on a road trip and need to rest at night and the value of what you get is not worth it."

"Nice hotel very convenient location to the 101 highway. Rooms very nice comfortable beds and great quality sheets. Hotel has a restaurant and bar which served pretty good food. Other places close to eat if you wanted to drive. Would recommend.."
