"It's okay. The rooms are clean, but the bathroom was quite old, and the toilet didn't flush too well. There is no shampoo or liquid soap available, only regular solid soap."

"I've lived a few blocks from this place for decades, seeing the various transitions of motel names and chains. It's sad to see reviews from tourists, who will no doubt be disappointed. If you are traveling to the Bay Area and want a home base to see the sites, this is probably not the place for you. This has been basically a "locals get away from home and party" or "I can't drive anymore tonight and I need to sleep" kind of motel forever. Nothing wrong with that. It serves a purpose. It's way better than the hourly rate motel a block away. But I would never have out of town guests stay here. There's nothing to walk to other than a gas station and liquor store. There are much better options for tourists in Berkeley or Emeryville."

"So this hotel is actually decently well kept. I don't know why they keep the bathroom window open, possibly to keep the room from getting too stuffy. But they have decently designed bathrooms, though I would've preferred the bathroom sink on the inside of the bathroom instead of outside... The beds are good. Fridge is cold. Microwave works really well so if you need to stay a long time it's serviceable for the price. The only issue I had with this hotel is the WiFi Internet access. It's free with your stay, but the connection is non-existent. We had some success when they switched out room to be closer to the office because of it, but for some reason the WiFi wouldn't stay connected for longer than maybe an hour. Unable to obtain IP address or whatever the error is usually... This wouldn't have been a problem as I use a hotspot when I don't have hotel WiFi but I had multiple important zoom meetings that wouldn't work well with cellphone signals in the area (a cell carrier problem). But yeah WiFi that doesn't work if your room is too far away from the router is not good. Otherwise this place would easily be a 4 star for me! Get that WiFi working properly and consistently!!"
