"My husband and I spent three nights at this hotel. To call this a "luxury" hotel is, quite simply, a joke. There is a $30-40 per day amenities fee, but this hotel has minimal amenities. There is no gym, pool, included breakfast, or even a restaurant in general (meaning no room service option). The "Unlimited coffee" in your room is a Keurig. There are robes in the rooms, which I thought was cute. I also think you can rent bikes. You also get a free drink card for each person that's staying to use at the "bar" in the lobby. I used mine to get coffee in the morning - which was actually pretty good. The bar is the closest thing to a restaurant that this hotel has. The coffee was good, but I did not try any food. It is all pre-packaged pastries and breakfast sandwiches. Now let's talk about the noise. The walls of this building may as well be made of paper. Our first night, I woke up to our neighbors having s*x, and it sounded like they were literally in our room. Then, the street noise kept me awake for several hours. There's not much that this hotel can do about the noise issue at this point, but please keep that in mind if you book. I had just spent 3 nights at a hotel a few blocks away and that hotel was absolutely silent... So to come to this one and have so much noise was jarring. Our second and third nights at this hotel were quieter, but I think our neighbors left and the street noise is a tossup. We were supposed to stay for two more nights later in the week, but I cancelled our reservation. We're going back to the hotel a few blocks away that I mentioned previously - quieter, and actually has great amenities. Overall, I would recommend staying somewhere else. The lobby is beautiful and the pineapple decor is cute, but that doesn't balance out the lack of amenities and the paper-thin walls."
"Staypinnaple has been a fantastic hotel for this trip to San Francisco. Not only is the branding great, everyone has been so incredibly friendly! The staff has just been so helpful and just so pleasant. The rooms are small, but it's a historic building. The lobby is amazing and has a great bar for coffee/breakfast in the AM or beer/wine in the evening. I would definitely stay here again or look for this hotel in another city."
"I really liked this hotel. The lobby is beautiful, the service is excellent, and the room is truly fantastic. The location is good, centrally located, and felt safe to me. Especially for this price, it's a very good choice. I liked the concept with complimentary cookies and coffee in the lobby, 'dash' in the room, and the pineapple-themed design that runs through many areas. I got a room on an upper floor as I requested, which was great. The window faced a narrow street; next time, I would also inquire about a room with a nice view. I highly recommend the hotel!"
"First off - this place had THE COMFIEST BEDS I've ever slept in at any hotel. Anyways - what a nice place! The employees here were all SO nice, and the hotel itself plus rooms were beautiful; I felt like I was getting a high end experience but for an affordable price. I chose to stay here as it was close to the Great American Music Hall, where I was attending a show. I only stayed here for one night - wish I could've stayed longer! I will definitely recommend this hotel to any friends visiting the city and would love to come here again in the future. Initially I was uncertain about the area the hotel was in, but after staying there the immediate area seemed pretty much fine. Just use your street smarts. There's some great food in the immediate vicinity, and it's also an easy, close walk to Union Square."
