"Dr. Daniel L is a big creep and is the owner of Woodland Dental. I will never go back as he as tried to destroy my teeth and I currently have an insurance fraud case on him. Stay as far away from Woodland Dental as you possibly can. Below is proof from MN board of dentistry of his maltreatment of his clients & creepiness towards employees. If you google his name and record things don’t stop showing up. Please for the sake of your teeth find a different dentist. This is all Public on MN board of dentistry."
"We have lived in Duluth for three years and have only been able to get one member of our family in one time after having her appointment canceled at least four times pushing the appointment back over a year! We love going to the dentist. We usually go every four months, but because of woodland dental we have not been able to go at all since moving to Minnesota. My daughter needs plaque removed and braces and I haven't seen a dentist in over three years now. I am very concerned about this community and what this dentist is doing to their teeth. When you look around town you see that no one has been given proper dental care because all of their teeth are rotting out of their heads. It's gross. Don't come to Duluth if you want to have good teeth."
"Regarding my wisdom teeth extraction this past Monday, I can say so far that the wisdom teeth extraction was a success, and I’m relieved to finally have it done. Thank you for the hard work. I can’t speak for the procedure, because I was dead-asleep. Me being super anxious at the start was the only thing, but I was able to fall asleep and felt no pain after. I’m satisfied with that. However, I had a lot of anxiety and didn’t know what to expect, so I tried to ask questions before the surgery began, but all they told me was to stop talking (so I can continue my deep-breathing) and that I can ask questions later. I at least attempted to make it a win-win scenario by speaking as I exhale to continue the deep-breathing, but that's still not good enough for THEM. All I wished was that the doctor or nurses walk me through the steps by talking about what will happen rather than just shutting me down and jumping into the procedure. I tried to make it clear more when I would awkwardly try to spell out what I'm asking for when I say, "Baby steps," and the nurse replied, "Yes, baby steps," as if I'm stupid. This is not fair to me who simply asked for a bit of clear communication. This was super improper. So, there was no pre-op procedure explanation at all. After the surgery, there was no post-op instructions sent home either, even though my ride was told that I had them. So, now I am left to research on the internet what I need to do for my after surgery care. I’m not able to reach them through phone to ask, so I left them a voice message AND an email in the meantime just to get back from them in SOME way. Finally, when exiting the clinic, one of the receptionists pushed me out into the parking lot in a wheelchair and told my driver to pull the car up. The staff then went over to the car and left me in the parking lot, so I tried to stand up and walk over to the car, but I was still under anesthesia, so I went crashing down onto the pavement. I received a scuffed knee, hands, and partially on the HEAD. I, under anesthesia, should not be left unattended by a member of the staff. What if I died when hitting my head after falling?! Either way, this is all something that could have been avoided if she had just waited with me until my driver came back over to help get me into the car. Please, watch your patients that are still under anesthesia, and don’t just leave them alone to make decisions on their own when they cannot think clearly! It’s dangerous for them!!! Knowing that this place has a history of a bad reputation as is with being reschedule trigger-happy and getting mad at their patients for being mad at them, this place has the right to shut down NOW!"
"I highly recommend this dentistry to anyone who needs dental work done. My mom had 15 teeth extracted and she had anesthesia. The dentist and the nurse were very gentle and caring. They helped her put her jacket on and answered all her questions. The receptionist was also very friendly and helpful. They are calling her tomorrow to check on her. She is doing way better than she did before when she went to a different dentistry. This dentistry is truly God sent."
"These people are the best!! I had a bad experience before with a different dentist and I was petrified to get my 15 teeth pulled but I definitely needed it. They explained to me that if I didn't I could get a blood infection (sepsis) besides all my teeth were definitely going bad. I saw a few people in urgent care before and they never explained it to me the way they did. That was just the beginning, everytime I went there everyone was extremely friendly!! They did the best work I could have ever hoped for!! I'm a Christian and I can definitely say that these people were part of God's plan for me!! Thank you Lord for sending another miracle into my life!! One last thing, Merry Christmas everyone!!"
