"Run of the mill deli, nothing fancy. For what they charge you might as well go to Squat & Gobble a few paces away. Coffee is very basic; they have zero non-dairy options and forget about even asking for Stevia. They only have nutra sweet and maybe splenda (doubt they keep up with current health data on these sweeteners)."
"Great sandwiches, friendly employees, great selection."
"I was down on Chestnut street helping my pal'et Teresita la Bomba put a shine on her la Bomba, and when we were done it was lunchtime. Teresita recommended the Marina Deli for sandos, she said they're the best in the city, and you know what...she was right! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆"
"When the old owners (Mike(RIP)), his brother John and Tommy ran this deli…it was the perfect neighborhood spot. The new ownership (specifically the gentleman who wears glasses) lacks all the charm that made this place special. Not only does the new owner consistently over charge on everything from zig zags to bacon breakfast burritos… he’s the type of a*shole to call you friend/ brother/ tell you ‘it’s nice to see you’ while he adds a few more dollars to the total hoping you either don’t notice or don’t push back… or both. Now I only come here when I absolutely have to or I see Tommy is working and that sucks. Been stopping by for over a decade but hey this is a problem that’s frankly city wide lately. Businesses that were once considered SF institutions get sold to new owners that wanna capitalize on the ‘sizzle’ instead of understanding the ‘steak’ …and have no interest in maintaining/understanding the value prop of establishment they operate. Update to owner response: you don’t use a POS system to charge on Apple Pay. You manually enter a total into the white rectangular box that sits next to your register. Also, I’ve bought two breakfast burritos this week; paid $13 one day, $17 another day (when glasses is working behind the counter). Noticed price discrepancies for a while but after hearing someone else complain about it in store Ive decided it’s a deal breaker"
"High end delivery specializing in gourmet sandwiches and homemade salads. Extensive alcohol selection and organic beverages. A must stop if in the Marina District."
