"I don't write reviews super often, but the visit that my mom and I had a few weeks ago at Joseph's Shoes has stuck in my mind. Apparently the owner, Joseph himself, was helping us. We had stopped in just to see what brands and sizes they offered. My mom is a nurse and works on her feet a lot, and I am a nursing student, so we are always on the look out for comfortable shoes that can be walked and stood in for hours on end every day no matter the price tag. I heard that Hokas were a good brand, and we saw that Joseph's had them on display. My mom and I wear the same size shoe, so we both tried the same pair on on. This pair was also the only pair that came in our size. We both agreed that the arch was hitting oddly and uncomfortably on the side (not the bottom) of our foot. We explained this to Joseph, but he wasn't listening to what we were saying even though we tried to be patient to try to get our point across. He then picked up my mom's shoe that she currently wears and bent it in half to show us how poor of support her shoe has. We aren't doubting that her shoes are worn out (that's the reason we came shoe shopping in the first place), but that seemed like a bit much to me. He dismissed our concerns and were told that it doesn't matter what we said, Hokas were the best and most comfortable shoes on the market according to him and no one can prove him otherwise. When we inquired about a wider size, he said that over time we this specific pair of shoes will wear in. I believe that a shoe should be comfortable from the very first try on. We shouldn't have to wear a pair of shoes and endure blisters for a week or more of wear before they get comfortable. After we left, my mom and I both agreed that we felt that Joseph was trying to pressure us into buying the shoes and did not care about our comfort or what we had to say, he just wanted to make a sale. This experience definitely left a bad taste in our mouths. Based on the interactions I witnessed with the other employees and customers that day, the other employees seemed very helpful and kind. Joseph, the owner, did not practice such customer service. He's lucky to have the employees he hired because I can't imagine how he would keep business otherwise."

He could tell my arch wasn't hitting correctly in a sandal and recommended some other brands that worked great. He spent a lot of time with me and problem solved to get me into the right shoes. This is the second time I've purchased from him and I highly recommend him."
