"Expensive, average BBQ for the portion size. I come to the 3rd St Market Hall all of the time and wanted to try them. Tried to order pickup on the website or through the QR code, but the online ordering system showed that every single item was unavailable. So I went in person. Wanted to get the 3 meat platter, but they were out of rib tips. So I decided to get the brisket and chicken. Both meats were decent, but were in extremely small portion sizes for the price. Sides were tiny too. Cornbread was good though. Wanted to upgrade one of my sides to mac and cheese as that was listed on the online menu, but they said they haven't sold that for a long time. That's ridiculous as mac and cheese is a staple with BBQ. I come to the 3rd St Market Hall often as it's a great atmosphere to get work done while enjoying a bite to eat and a beer, but will probably stick to my typical favorites that are tastier and a much better value. Also, I think it's ridiculous that I have to give them my phone number in order to place and order in-person."
"Made a quick stop while exploring the city of Milwaukee to explore new places and bites to eat. Stumbled on Smokin’ Jacks BBQ spot hidden in the corner of the MKE 3rd Street Market food Hall. Smokin’ Jacks offered a variety of sandwiches and meat combos to try. I had the trio (brisket, chicken, ribs tips), with Baked Beans and Potatoes Salad. While the portion size appeared to be smaller than anticipated, the meat flavoring offered pure smoked BBQ sensation. I had it with the Alabama sauce and Texan BBQ sauce. Both adding different tastes flavors."
"Had a three meat platter. Pork, chicken, brisket, coleslaw, beans, cornbread. I opted for the Alabama white sauce, which I had not heard of, and it was fantastic. Much more enjoyable then a tomato based sauce. Brisket was ok, but the pork.and chicken were good. Their beans were fantastic and the cornbread a perfect sweetness."
"I tried the BBQ hamburger at this place, and I have to admit, I was a bit disappointed with the size. The burger was relatively small. The picture shown in the menu was misleading. However, when it came to taste, it was delicious. The BBQ flavor was rich and satisfying, and the patty was well-cooked."
