"Awesome atmosphere for a good German beer hall. The decor and paintings are great! They have a good selection of German beer and lots of cocktails. The food menu is traditional. We really enjoyed the hot pretzel, but it wasn't as "giant" as we were hoping. The prices aren't cheap but also not super expensive. There is a front room, back room, and an outdoor beer garden. With that, sometimes the service can be a little slow with people spread out. Overall, definitely would recommend coming here for some half liters and good German atmosphere. I wish they would play some more traditional music!"

"I hadn’t been here since they started serving food, so when family was visiting and wanted to go out for German, we decided to try it. The atmosphere is just as I remembered - it actually feels like you’ve stepped into an old world beer hall in Germany, with painted murals and steins lining the walls. We got there during Happy Hour, when some drinks are $6, a great value. There was just one hardworking server, and several guys behind the bar, but when we asked one about drinks he suggested we just wait for the server to come to our table. Seemed like they could have helped her out. Everybody loved the food they ordered, sausages with delicious condiments like radish slaw and caramelized onions, spaetzle and sauerkraut, and fish fry with potato pancakes. Truly some of the best German food in a very German city."

"I didn't have a full meal but we did have some great beers, managing to land during the happy hour to get a discount on the first round. Service was good. Our waitress got a little distracted by the group at the patio but was other was otherwise friendly and helpful. Great stuff. Beers? Cold and delicious. A lager for first round and second, the Weihenstephean hefeweizen that was perfect, served with a slice of lemon. Cheese curds? AMAZING. Super hot, fresh, flavorful and exactly what I expect in Wisconsin. And we also split the pretzel, it was tasty stuff. I preferred the mustard over the cheese sauce. Good stuff!"

"BEST CHEESE CURDS IN MILWAUKEE! My husband and I visited Milwaukee for a month and tried many different restaurants. By far, we loved the fried cheese curds here. We went twice in one month and loved all the food and drinks we got. The first time we brought our dog and sat outside. Also, didn't realize there was trivia nights on Thursday, was a fun surprise."

"Good selection of German beers and the food was good! We ordered a pretzel, smoked trout dip, and a brat. The pretzel was nice and soft—probably one of the better ones I’ve had. The atmosphere is very German (obviously) and they have a small patio in the back when the weather is nice. It’s a cozy spot that has a lot of character."
