"I come to Hayward annually to ride MTN bikes and gravel, and just recently bought an EV. Hayward is short on reliable EV charging stations, and the closest supercharger is close to 140mi away. The staff were so gracious to let me charge my car and keep me from having to wait over 24+ hrs while charging on a household 120V plug! Even though I wasn't staying at the campground. I love people who continue to pay it forward!"
"We had a basic cabin, it was clean, roomy enough for the 2 of us. Did outdoor cooking, a great outdoor kitchen area if you wanted to cook on a stove and sinks with hot water to clean up with. Right in the woods, lots of pinectrees which we loved. Close to town and in the summer there are lots of activities to do"
"Stayed here July 2023 in our TT. We chose this KOA because we have had good experiences with others across the country. This was close to mountain biking trails we wanted to check out. We had a blast! We were on the South side of the campground - our site faced the highway but it was never really noisy like I thought it might be. LOTS of campers on the North side of the KOA over the weekend, but never any issues with noise etc. The evening "parade" was cute! Staff were very nice. Chatted with Terri (she did the art classes) and she was super pleasant. We would come back here any time."
"Very nice park. Great for tents, RVs, or renting cabins. Quiet and tucked in the forest. They have a lot of things going on for kids and families. Pool, water slides, tie-dye shirt, movies on the weekends. Bathrooms are clean and showers are hot! We will be coming back, really soon."
"Water slide only open Friday and Saturday. That’s main reason to go. Food cafe open only on weekends not Sunday. I feel like those who go during week and pay a premium should be offered the same things or else provide a discount. Then to have kids playing until 2 am, rules aren’t enforced for quiet time. This said we will not come back. I stayed last year at campground and didn’t enjoy, but the kids liked the water slide so we booked. Got message no water slide add that into the negative experience prior as well as all the things not open and reading other reviews made us decide to take our $500.00 for 2 nights in cabin rental elsewhere where they actually staff for the whole summer. BTW someone left poor reviews of unprofessional lifeguard so I’m not sure y’all were putting customer safety anywhere. Thank you but it’s a free country do as you see fit, as did I."
