"I got the GBLT, tomato dill soup, side salad with ceaser dressing, orange Dream shake, and German chocolate cake. They definitely loaded up with the bacon and fries. The side salad is like any other side salad. The orange Dream Shake is definitely a dream! I'm never disappointed. The cake is dry and lacking in flavor. The food is very filling, if you don't eat a lot you can definitely get one order for two people!"
"Classic traditional diner in the middle of an of anything but neighborhood of Madison. Standard breakfast is prepared properly with a sides of biscuit and tasty american fries. Lunch/dinner fare simple but solid. Lead by the turkey and meatloaf plates they don't disappoint. They have plenty of vegetarian and a few vegan offerings as well. Rounding out the offerings are the housemaid shakes/malts. One day, I'll tackle a Fat Elvis."
"Very popular Madison-area staple. This is a modern take on the classic 1950s diner with classic menu items like breakfast/brunch options, burgers, shakes, pies and more. Uniquely, this diner has a separate vegan menu which makes it very popular and distinguishes it amongst competitors in the area. My party ordered breakfast items. I ordered the Greek omelet with avocado on the side and a biscuit. The omelet was stuffed with mushrooms, feta with very fluffy eggs. The omelet was tasty but didn't stand out as exceptional. The biscuit however was scrumptious. Our server was prompt and very professional. This place is extremely popular and so we had to wait 45 minutes for a table but it was fine given all the shops surrounding the area that we went and looked at in the meantime. The restaurant was very loud and busy, it was hard to have a conversation with your tablemates but that is the nature of diners. Parking can be very difficult. There is a very tiny parking lot next to the restaurant but it only holds around 15 cars. We found free residential parking two blocks away. There is also street parking. The restaurant ADA accessible and they have restrooms for patrons. This place is an extremely popular stop in Madison. The food was good but I personally think it is overhyped."
"-BLG sandwich and hamburger were delicious -Server was very attentive -Dinner and bathrooms were very clean Overall, I highly recommend Monty's Blue for a delicious and enjoyable dining experience."
"Family of four stopped in for dinner after going over the Google reviews (4.7 stars). The parking lot is small, but we were able to pull into a spot as someone was pulling out. There's about 8 tables outdoors as you make yourself inside and we noticed a container with sidewalk chalk, which was immediately noticed by my 6 year old. The restaurant has an old diner feel to with memorabilia to go with it. We arrived around 6pm and the place was pretty busy. We were told the wait would be about 15-20 minutes but the hostess showed us to a table in less than 10. Two of us had the chicken bacon and goat cheese sandwich with a side of fries. One of the kids had a breakfast burrito and the other had french toast from the kids menu and that came with a side of fruit. Our server, Alma, was great. She made sure to check in on us often and made sure to refill our glasses with water when we were low. We all agreed that the food was just ok. We ordered a slice raspberry cheesecake and a slice of carrot cake to go and those were GREAT, I highly recommend them! Not from around here, but I'd explore other options if we were ever back in the area."
