"Yesterday was our last session with Dr. katherine! We were set up with North Star speech therapy through San Diego Regional Center for my daughter. We started therapy sessions when she was almost two, and we just finished her last session since she is now almost 3 and will no longer be eligible through early intervention. However, Dr. katherine did such an amazing job with my daughter- that she no longer even qualifies for speech therapy as she has caught up to her milestones. When Dr. katherine first started- Izzy wasnt even saying “mama” or “dada”, and i kid you not- 1 year later- we can’t shut her up! She is talking non-stop and has so much confidence in herself and her own communication skills. She used to be so timid on the playground and you could see the discomfort in her when people would talk with her. Now- she goes right up to anybody and is so proud of herself. I can’t speak highly enough to how great Dr. Katherine was in working with our family. She was kind, understanding, gentle, super accommodating, punctual. I mean the list honestly goes on. We are SO thankful for her to give our daughter a voice! She will be missed in our family for sure."
