"If you're looking for a great-tasting breakfast, friendly smiling service, and reasonable fare, this is the first place you should try. I love food, I'm not a critic, but I write recipes and cook many meals for many people. I believe I have a fair pallet of tasty food! Imagine my surprise when I discovered Sunrise Family Restaurant in Stoughton. Wonderful people, great food, and extremely pleasant staff. Family-owned, they treat everyone as part of their family. I make this excursion once per month, just to be there for their breakfast. I take friends. Why? The food is that good and they make us feel welcome. I order off menu most of the time. It's not a problem for this restaurant, and your drinks are ALWAYS full. If you're looking for a great place with fantastic food and great service, give them a try. I don't believe you will regret it."

"Stopped in here for breakfast. We were greeted and seated promptly. The staff was friendly and attentive. We both ordered omelets and we shared an order of American fries. It all was hot and plentiful. We will return here for another breakfast someday."

"This is one of those places you go to once because you're driving through and think "Can't go wrong with a simple family restaurant". My advice would be just keep driving and find something else. The food was passable but they may have the worst coleslaw in Wisconsin. Service was slow even though the restaurant didn't appear busy. The only times we talked to our server was when they took our order and when we got our food. No drink refills or checking to make sure everything was good. Ultimately even if I lived in the area I wouldn't go back."

"Sunrise was a great breakfast spot. We arrived at 11 am on a Sunday and it was packed. But we got right in. There were 5 of us and we were all pleased. The waitress was friendly and efficient. She had an electronic device when taking orders. Although it was very busy, our food was ready in a short time. I ordered sunrise potatoes which are loaded hashbrowns that were great! I also ordered pecan pancakes. They were regular pancakes with pecans in them. I was hoping for additional spices. But they were fresh and the pancakes recipe they use is good. I look forward to visiting soon."
