"This is a great place! We have three kids and the first booth was just fine but the staff insisted we have a larger one. Then they brought us warm puddings. I ordered the hungry man which was amazing. My wife got the chicken sandwich and my kids got pancakes. Everything went perfect the food was delicious and the staff is very inviting."
"Randy’s was packed when my husband and I stopped in. We were able to be seated quickly within 5 minutes. We started with the curds and they were delicious if not slightly overdone. I got the crispy chicken sandwich in original and it was good, but there could have been more seasoning. My side salad didn’t have frills but some of the lettuce was a bad. My husband got the Reuben which he liked. The fries were delicious. I will definitely try Randy’s again. Service was great, very attentive and they brought around a sample of warm vanilla pudding when we sat down."
"All Day Breakfast. Solid breakfast joint. All the food is solid. Excellent customer service. Food is simple American food. I would recommend for a quick bite. Pictured below is the Half Hungryman. I recommend."
"Nice Family restaurant in Eau Claire. Free sample of warm vanilla pudding was interesting but I wouldn't order it. Chicken Dumpling soup was packed full of dumplings, which I like. Very good patty melt. Spicy french fries weren't worth the extra dollar."
"Busy Friday night about an hour before close. Pleasant greetings and quick seating! Our server came over quickly and was very friendly and cheerful. We ordered cheese curds to start. They were tasty, with a very light batter coating. We each had dinner salads. Fresh and crispy. Unfortunately we chose the “homemade house French” for a dressing, which came on the side. The flavor/texture combination just did not appeal to us. We could easily have asked for an alternative, but Wife used the Ranch left over from the curds, and I just made do with the French. So, not a criticism, just advice to taste the dressing and make a change if needed. Wife had the fried fish and shrimp. Her read was that the shrimp were good, fried fish was okay, seemed like pre-packaged, and fries were slightly undercooked. I had the chicken gizzards. Some of the best I’ve ever eaten. Surprisingly tender. Fish was okay but nothing to rave about. Here’s my gripe… I specifically asked the server if the baked potato was fresh and fluffy, because I hate soggy potatoes that have been sitting, wrapped in foil in a steamer. She assured me it was “baked fresh.” Not the case at all. Dense and soggy. Sure, I could have sent it back and gotten mashed or something, but it was already late, we were road weary and I just made do. We got Triple Chocolate Cake and Carrot Cake to take back to the room for a snack. Both were excellent! Our server was very nice and attentive and I would have loved to give her props, but I didn’t hear her introduce herself, she didn’t have a name tag and her name wasn’t on the register receipt."
