"Great service and high quality vacuums. I've been a customer of this location for 18 years--still can get parts and service for my Oreck XL upright. Parts are fairly priced and staff are happy to answer questions and service all brands. If there is a sale or promotion, the staff will apply it for you to ensure you've left with the best deal available. You may pay more than a comparable vacuum at a discount store but you'll have local service at a David's Vacuum store and parts available--I purchased a Shark from a discount store previously and two years ago the filter needed to be replaced and neither the manufacturer or online generic parts store made a compatible part--so I replaced it with one from David's that has the same performance but better support and the vacuum is made in the USA. You can try the vacuums out in the store to see what they sound like and how they work on different surfaces. (The sales staff even help you make a little mess to clean up to test the vacuums.) I'm happy the store has remained in the community since 1997 and I've directed friends and colleagues to their store who are tired of replacing their vacuum every few years."
"Where to begin. I purchased a $1,200 Ricaar from them in early 2020. It started malfunctioning less then a year after use. I brought it in and it was repaired for free, but it took 5 months to fix!!! They did give me a loaner during this time. They promise free loaners and service for the lifetime of the machine. Well this is not the case as I had to bring it back a second time now in 2023. It needs a new motor and other repair. Note: I use the vacuum once a week. Not the quality you expect from a $1,200 machine. I stop in to drop off for repair only to be told I will have to cover the cost to repair it (no warranty as promised) And they are out of loaners! But they were happy to suggest that I purchase a used Oreck vacuum for $300 to cover me in the interim while mine was in the shop. Absurd! I politely declined. They did fix my machine promptly, however I receive a phone call from a rude gal to inform me that my repair was complete and will I pick it up today? I told her no, I was at work, but could stop over the weekend. She gave me attitude stating that they were full of vacuums in repair in the back and to pick it up ASAP. I am sorry... most working people cannot drop everything and leave work to drive 1/2 hour on a moments notice to pick up a vacuum. I then called to ask what the hours were. They close at 6pm people! Please tell me how one is supposed to pick up at that time if you work an 8 hour day and don't live near Woodbury?? I must have been such an inconvenience by calling to ask about their operating hours as she was very rude to me again. Save yourself the headache. Purchase a Bissell like I did for $70. I am quickly learning that my "Cadillac Ricaar" wasn't picking up anything now that I have my cheap Bissell. Another note: why are they so overstocked with repair? Does that not say something about the quality of the machines they are selling?"
"They helped me find exactly what I was looking for with a warranty and at an amazing price. So glad I made this my one and only black friday stop!"
"I got a puppy last fall, and my previous vacuum wasn't even touching the bits of dog hair, mulch, sticks, chewed cardboard, and more that my collie drags into the house every day - especially on my LL Bean water hog mats. Vanessa and Devin connected me with the ultra-powerful Riccar Tandem Air, which does the job with ease, and the service was first rate. With this machine, I may even learn to enjoy vacuuming!"
"Don't do business here! We took our Oreck vacuum here, as we have in the past decade, because they had a free Tune Up Service. I was told that the vacuum made a strange noise and the bearing needed to be replaced. They promised that they would have the vacuum ready in a few days. I called after it was there a week and they said they were waiting for the bearing and that it was out of stock. I asked when it would get here and how much it would cost. They said they had no idea. Within a half hour, Dan the repairman, called to tell me that it was not the bearing, that the machine was clogged and it would be $20. It needed a roller for $50 and side brushes for $20. He also mentioned that he determined it wasn't the bearing because he had not taken the vacuum apart before this. I told him that I would be picking the vacuum up and not to fix anything. When I picked the vacuum up, he mentioned that the brush was 12 years old and had never been replaced. What he didn't know, was that we had replaced the roller several times in the past. The moral of the story is do not trust this store. I feel as though they made up a story and charged us $20 for a tune up. I asked him why the $20 was charged to me and he said unclogging the machine was not part of the tune up, only the belts and a new bag. I have never felt this way before. I am unsure what has changed in this company. I asked for the 20% off vacuum repair and they wouldn't give me it because there was no part purchased. As you can see, the coupon doesn't mention that."
