We transferred from a large center where there was a lot of turnover and high class sizes, to Stepping Stones which has low teacher turn over, dedicated teachers, and small class sizes, and my son has thrived. The individual attention to the needs of the student, emotionally, developmentally and education-wise are amazing. There is a calm at the school that starts with the owner, impacts the teachers, and trickles down to the students. It’s a magical place. Ms. Marcia is a wonderful teacher, who really sees my son. "A Diamond in The Rough I am enthusiastically recommending “Stepping Stones Private Education Association” to families with young kiddos who are looking for a superior quality educational program & day care-in-one that does not go along with the status quo. The environment and culture of the school resembles a family atmosphere, instead of a stuffy corporate institution. I was skeptical that such a program could even exist in the Roseville area, and I was cautious about getting my kids into something initially, I felt so vulnerable as I hunted around for daycares for my little one and preschools for my oldest, making numerous phone calls and emails before I found them. Now that we have been attending for close to a year, I can safely say that this program has far and away exceeded our hopes and expectations! My 2 kids, ages 2 and 5, look forward to going in the morning and are reluctant to get in the car when I come at pick up time in the evening. The teachers are given the autonomy to draw upon their own experience and training to develop a great curriculum that WORKS for the students in front of them, instead of mechanically performing duties enforced by management. My high-needs five year old is clearly thriving in Ms. Angela’s classroom where daily themed sensory bins were part of the morning stations and a “safe space” with fidgets was created for kiddos to regulate and calm their bodies if emotions ran high. In the toddler room, where my two year old spends his time, he learns how to clean up after himself and smiles with delight while doing the “pre-academics” which can include ingenious craft activities. Ms. Lorie the owner is onsite daily and is very receptive to feedback and shows genuine concern and care for all of the children and her staff. All aspects of the program demonstrate that the staff are keenly sensitive to the child's needs, and honors them as individuals. Additionally, they have great technology features such as an onsite camera system and an app that updates parents regularly with photos of kiddos participating in their awesome activities. I cannot overstate the massive positive impact that the Stepping Stones program has had on my kids and I am confident that these foundational learning experiences and relationships will set them up for a life-time of success."

"I can’t recommend Stepping Stones enough! We had a hard time choosing a daycare/preschool for our daughter with so many options and a somewhat negative experience at a different center. We were so happy to find Stepping Stones and had such a positive experience from the first time we visited and met Lorie. Our daughter attended Stepping Stones from around age 17-24 months, and we would have happily kept her there until kindergarten. We only changed schools because we moved, and we were heartbroken to leave. Our daughter had so much fun, learned so much and developed such wonderful relationships with the students and staff at Stepping Stones. She often talked about her teachers and friends at school and was happy to be dropped off at school, and sometimes sad to leave school. We love that they use the Kid Reports app, where we got to see at least one picture of her almost every day, what and how much she ate, diaper change info, when she napped, any incidents, and if we needed to bring anything. It made me feel so much better being able to see what she was up to while I was at work, and it’s so nice that the teachers take the time to update the app! They provide lunch and snacks - a variety of food, almost all organic, and our daughter ate almost everything offered. While our daughter isn’t the best napper, she took nice long naps at school. There were so many fun toys inside and outside for her to play with. She sang songs, read books (including books to help with social emotional development), and did arts and crafts. We went to a cute muffins with mom event that she still talks about. Lorie and the staff have created such a fun, loving environment where our daughter blossomed, and we will forever be grateful to Stepping Stones for such a positive first school experience for our daughter! If you are considering sending your child to Stepping Stones, you should do it!"

"My son has only been at Stepping Stones Preschool for a few weeks, but we already love it. Ms Lorie is amazing! I loved her after our first conversation; she is so caring and easy to talk to. Ms Angela is my son's teacher and she is so sweet and patient with him and all the children. I'm so happy I found this school and plan to have my son here until he's 5. All the staff is wonderful and friendly!"

"We have been fortunate to have both our children attend Stepping Stones since 2013 when we first moved to the Roseville area. My daughter attended from age 2-5 and still enjoys visiting the teaching staff and friends she met while there. Based on the attention and care the staff offered her, we currently have our son enrolled and intend to keep him there until he starts kindergarten. We find Ms. Lorie and her team to be caring and patient with all the children and never have had a complaint with their care for either of our children. They do a great job managing the ratio of teachers to children and did not get the feel that it is overwhelming as we got with some of the bigger preschools in the area. We would strongly recommend Stepping Stones to anyone who is looking for a caring environment with extremely capable staff."
