"After a long search, we hired Jake to shorten the legs of our eating table and chairs. Although Jake typically works on large scale cabinet projects, he agreed to take on our small project. He asked detailed questions and told us about the potential challenges due to the style of the chair legs. We brought Jake the table and one chair to see in person before committing to this project. He was indeed able to shorten the legs on both pieces, smooth down, balance and stain them. Later on we gave him the three remaining chairs. Let me first say that Jake is a gentleman. He's honest, trustworthy, thorough, hard working, a perfectionist and an excellent carpenter and craftsman. Because he often comes to SF to work on projects, he twice came to our home to pick up and return chairs. Jake's goal is to do what he loves and to make people feel good about what he does. He is friendly, warm, informative and loves to educate you on DIY projects. Our table and chairs are beautiful and functional now. We wouldn't hesitate to call Jake again for a woodwork project. Jake is growing his new business and I encourage anyone to start with him as you're considering your project."
