"I want to give a huge shout-out to Steven at San Luis Custom Upholstery. The man is a magician. We gave him an impossible task. Our two 1970s era bucket chairs have been moved multiple times back and forth across the country, jumped on by three active children and multiple dogs, and used by one of our more ridiculous cats as a scratching post. Most people would throw up their hands and toss them, but they have a lot of sentimental value to me. My dad received the chairs in lieu of payment for some accounting work he did for a struggling furniture company back in the day, and he wanted us to have them for our very first home. I don't have a lot of my dad's things, and I miss him terribly, so I wanted to do right by these chairs. Plus, they are a rarity in that my very tall husband actually finds them comfortable! Steven not only did a beautiful job on the upholstery, but he managed to disguise the damage done by our kitty--who will now, of course, be banished from the vicinity of these chairs! So if you're looking for reupholstery, I highly recommend Steven and San Luis Custom Upholstery!"
