"From the moment my daughter started here, she THRIVED. Before this daycare, we had sent her to “Heart & Hands” in Salinas. She never wanted to go there and it was a battle to get her to go and it was because she was abused there for her lack of ability in speaking English. I actually walked in on them abusing my child by dragging her across the back. She was so terrified of people because of her experience at that daycare and we were afraid to send her anywhere else. My daughter absolutely LOVESSSSSS The Nest. From the moment she started, she loved it. She wanted to go everyday and she’s been there for over a year. I wish they did a home extension because she is starting Kinder and she won’t be here anymore :( Ms. Dina is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. She is so loving towards every child there and she is so incredibly patient with each one of them. My daughter went from not speaking English to being fluent. Now, she is tri-lingual. All of the work that they do is so creative and you can tell that she puts in so much work in making their daily projects FUN. They come home with cute artwork that’s not just doodles on a piece of paper. They make pineapples, bees, chains, and whatever you can think of. She also cares about their nutrition as well, which is a HUGE plus. I love the open communication that Ms. Dina had with me and I’m sure with other parents. She treated all of us as if we were family and for the past year and few months, we were family. She was such a huge stepping stone in my daughter’s growth whether it was educational or emotional. I am a pretty strict person and have many requirements, especially after the abuse my daughter endured at the other daycare but The Nest went way above the expectations in many ways. Ms. Dina caters to every child and his or her own specific needs which is incredibly helpful in a child’s growth. I am so thankful to have had such incredible be a part of my daughter’s educational pathway. I know they definitely have a waitlist but wait for them because you’ll witness everything that I have written for yourselves. Thank you Ms. Dina!"

"Our youngest was born right after the world shut down and we were lucky enough to have him home with us for the first year of his life. When it was no longer possible to keep him home and work, we reached out to Ms. Dina. We already knew her from when she worked at a child care center near our home and were confident that she would take excellent care of our child. It was hard for our little guy to leave us but Ms. Dina was SO patient and sweet with our son, and he settled in far more quickly than we expected. He also loved the food she made for him and the other children! We never had to worry that our son didn’t have enough healthy food to eat during the day. We could have sent a lunch but she is a much better cook than I am! I have recommended The Nest to others, and wanted to write this to add to the praise The Nest has earned!"

"I want to preface this by saying that I wasn’t asked to make this review. I was a stay at home mom for 5 years when my oldest was born because of not having family near by therefore, finding a good, licensed daycare for my youngest was a process I didn’t rush into. I called in January to ask about availability at The Nest Family Child Care after reading reviews from all other daycares in my area and was told there was no space but, in June a space became available for my 2-year old and she’s been coming to The Nest ever since. My mom-guilt and fears completely leave my body the moment they open the door and greet us every morning. My daughter feels loved and comfortable which is super important to me. She has healthy meals and snacks throughout the day and I love the routine they have daily and how much she gets to socialize and play with children her age. The kids make the cutest crafts and my daughter is learning so much while being here. They’re even helping me potty train her! They truly follow the rules implemented by the state of California as there was an incident where my daughter was scratched by another toddler and they addressed it with me right away as well as gave me the option to write a report, which I didn’t but I appreciated the transparency. All of this to say, I am so grateful for Miss Dina and Miss Mariela for treating my daughter with so much love and care, allowing my husband and I to go to work comfortably with peace of mind knowing she’s in good hands."

"I want to thank Miss Dina and her team for their professionalism and care. My daughter has been at the Nest Family Child Care since October 2020, and I couldn't be happier with the daycare choice. My daughter has enjoyed being there, sometimes, she even asked me to let her stay longer to play more with kids, which is a great sign, I believe:) The staff, the atmosphere, and the food are amazing, and I know that my child is in safe hands, when I leave her there before going to work.
