"Friendly and helpful long story short my daughter is 35 yrs old her father is paying back child support I get monthly what he pays the county back. Lucky me a waste of paper. Why can’t the county send to my daughter so she knows how much he never helped he told me he can not send to my daughter but I can go online and go paperless so I do not get the wasted paper mail they send monthly"
"It's their job to harass people who don't have anything to do with child support payments or even have any children. I've been harrassed by these people 3 times. The employees here are either severely incompetent or running a scam."
"This place is criminal. They treat men like trash. I paid a total of $72k to my ex wife while I had 51% custody. My son is now 25. My ex is deceased now. I sold my house and I can’t get paid until they release the lean on me. It’s been 6 years! They sent me a statement saying it was closed and the total I paid. Now 6 years later I have to still deal with them. Talk about amateur hour…"
"They are highly unethical. They took more money than my husband owed for over 6 months before they corrected it, stopped a modification that he requested without notifying him and he had to start the process all over. Then when he had over paid by thousands of dollars, instead of refunding him all the wage garnishments they took that he never owed, they strategically continue to hold on to each one for over 3 weeks before posting it to his account, so that they can apply it to the following month, so he's in a constant state of over payment and they don't care. It's the craziest thing I've ever witnessed someone going through. Corrupt business practices."
"My first experiences were with the people where answerning the phones. They talked to me as if I were a dead beat dad. I had not missed a payment before SCCS began handling the case. I have had different experiences with the people handling my case, very uncaring and impersonal plus the person changed often, so I am thinking a high turnover rate in employees. Then there was the problem with the garnishment. Once the garnishment office takes the money, it takes about a week to process it to the child support office. I get paid 26 times a year and one or two months the payment will come in after the 1st of the month. This triggers an automatic garnishmet for the money that should have been there on the first, a late payment. It took the office months to get this corrected. I was in the process of buying a new house when a lien showed up for unpaid child support. Even though this problem happened again recently, I do have a better case worker now."
