"This store has changed ownership three times in the last couple of years. Mainstay will always be liquor and beer. I like to pick up a bottle of wine and sit on the patio at Rice Things, eat some sushi and have a glass. Probably not legal but no one's ever kicked me out."
"I was a semi-regular customer (maybe once a month) but won't go back. I walked in yesterday, said "hello" to the proprietor and went to the cooler to pick up a six pack. I realized that I left my wallet in my bag on my $1,500 bike out front, I went out to give it a look and get my bag. Soon as I walked back in, the proprietor in an arresting tone snapped, "What are you doing!?' I was only a few feet into the store and I was taken aback and at a loss for words. He then ordered me to put my bag on the counter. I complied and said, "ok, let me just get my wallet out." He said, "Don't worry about it" and that I could "trust him". I told him that I wasn't worried about him taking my wallet, I was worried that someone was going to swipe my bike and that HE was worried that I was going to steal something. Rightly or wrongly, I chalked it up to being brown. At any rate, not exactly good customer service."
