"Great spot to see the sunset or just watch the waves . Located right in the middle of West Cliff. Lots of parking spots and recommend the cruise with a motorcycle or convertible to truly enjoy the full setting. Part of the road is closed still from a few storms ago so be prepared for detour."

"this location is the southernmost point in Santa Cruz where you can catch the first glimpses of the sun setting over the ocean starting October 5 each year and going through until nearly March. Sunsets in the southwest this time of year making it visible to our south facing shores. But this is by far the most epic place to see sunsets. Plus, there’s a, seating area made up of rocks and often people come up here with their picnics or drinks. Just make sure to clip and secure any valuables to yourself, such as keys or smart phone, because if you drop them down into these rocks, retrieving them is nearly impossible."
